RUSSELL HOBBS13407Do not buy this product. The large ring does not get hot enough to cook properly. THe small ring only just gets hot enough. The nobs fall off and disintergate. The nob markings disappear after 3 uses. THe product is junk. 1 out of 5Flying anchor07/02/2009 09:22:46

PRIMAPSC002I bought a prima superchef to tie me over when my main oven broke. I can honestly say that it is the best thing I have ever bought. I have now got a new main over, but I hardly ever use it. I use the superchef every day, you can use it for grilling, and you dont`t have a messy grill to clean, it makes lovely grilled sausages and bacon. If it broke tomorrow, I could not spend a day without a new one that is how much I love it. It has been the most useful thing I have ever bought and I highly recommend it. 5 out of 5mar01/04/2008 18:46:47

PRIMAPSC002I`ve had 2 of these and am now ordering another. With a family of four we havent found this appliance lacking in any way. A fraction of the price of a free standing or built in cooker you cant go wrong. Very economical too. 5 out of 5david mclaren27/03/2008 07:41:39

PRIMAPSC002I have owned a Prima superchef for 7 years and it was the best kitchen appliance I have ever bought. It is used daily and is used more frequently than my Microwave cooking everything from roasts to baking. Every home should have one. 4 out of 5BirdMan26/07/2007 18:23:16

BUSHBT01The oven itself is excellent but over-complicated. I use mine pretty heavily but have had to modify it to make it more practical by:- 1/.Removing the rotisserie and the drive gear to allow a lower position for the shelf for small joints, ets 2/. Insert two lower shelf supports which are held in place by the drip tray.(sounds silly but needs a sketch to explain). The only faults to date are that the lower front element is sagging and the marking on the timer dial have worn off. Getting areplacement dial is proving time-consuming and unsuccessful to date.I also finish up with all of the removed items to Ron Coates-Smith 4 out of 5Ron CS26/07/2007 18:23:09

TEFAL1356Easy to clean compared to regular health grill. Makes nice grilled meats, fish and toast. Am not very impressed with the 'oven' function to melt cheese because it takes so long that the bottom part of item is burned before cheese is melted.4 out of 5ellen vanschaik13/01/2003 14:37:00

UnbrandedExpress Rotisserie OvenGreat machine, cooks everything well. Has attachments for kebabs, basket for chicken, chops and so on plus rotisserie will take a 5lb chicken. Easy to clean although quickly shows signs of use due to intense heat.Would not use the veg steamer as gets too hot amd plastic can melt, if left over the time. Instruction book okay, but could be more info for cooking times, it`s a case of try and and see what works for you. Would definately miss if without, especially summer time. Have owned ours for about 4 years and with plenty of use still going strong!! 2 out of 5Maggie30/01/2007 17:22:05

RUSSELL HOBBS12667Bought this as a Christmas present for 93 year old mother who finds it difficult reaching down to conventional oven. Planned just to use oven as hobs are too high when set on worktop. The oven just would not reach temperature. Waited for 45mins and it still had not reached 200 in fact struggled to get to 150. Took this one back and exchanged for another thinking it was just faulty - next oven was just the same would not even reach 150 so have taken this one back and am now looking for an alternative. Very concerned - if we had not checked it first she may have been eating chicken etc. cooked well under recommended temperatures without realising. 1 out of 5unhappy daughter06/01/2008 10:48:51

PRIMAPM026BLThis looks superficially very good but don`t be fooled

In my opinion it is an awful product.

I would hate to think of it being used by an older person with poor eyesight

The controls are extremely confusing/ downright dangerous.

The three knobs are at Off at different positions

Top at 10 o`clock Middle at 12 o`clock Bottom at 2 o`clock

The top one turns clockwise to increase temperature Turn the centre one clockwise and you are immediately on to full power for the left ring The bottom one turns clockwise.

The labelling on the switches is in tiny black numbers on silver background. The black knobs are indistinct in that you aren`t sure which end should be pointed at the off position

I burnt myself on the metal grill tray which I had left on a hotplate which I had switched on accidently by having left the control knob the wrong way round.

To fix this we have had to put siver arrows on the knobs, blue dots to mark the 3 different off positions and 1 , 2, 3, red dots to show the different heat settings.

Both rings have preset settings only. They take ages to to heat up, so if you need to be economical with electricity you have to work out when to switch them off early to use the residual heat.

The smaller one will go from simmer to fast boil in 4 steps, which is fine

The large one STARTS at a fast boil. You cannot simmer on it, so you have to keep turning it on and off. You can`t walk away from the cooker for any length of time without burning stuff.

You are meant to be able to use the left ring on its lowest setting in conjunction with the oven, but it keeps cutting out with the oven on

The oven works effectively, but the 4 transverse elements are very exposed. It would be too easy to catch your hand on the top front one.

If you are going for a cooker like this make sure that the controls are graduated, not preset. You can get this to work but it`s a real hassle. And not worth the £128 we paid for it.

GEORGE FOREMANFat Reducing Contact Roasting MachineThis is a great product. I use it at least once a week. You can cook a whole chicken, just like a rotissere, chiken. Also pork roast and beef roast. Just season and cook. Wonderful! 0 out of 5Anon01/12/2006 14:57:56
