Native to Italy and featuring in many white wines from Sicily to Piedmont, Vermentiono is now being increasingly planted in the South of France. Permitted in a number of blends, it has here been produced as a varietal wine. Very bright gold with youthful green tints. The nose is predominantly citrus, with berry and slightly smoky notes. Remarkably rich on the palate, with good acidity, and a satisfying length. Serve moderately chilled, with seafood, poached fish or cold salads.
