Unbranded Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2012, Louis Latour
Domaine Louis Latour have their own cooperage, which has been going since the early C20th, when they decided to purchase a forest east of Beaune. This tradition is maintained today with production of around 2000 barrels a year. Half of these are exported around the world. Although Pinot Noir is one of the most difficult grapes to grow, this is a fine example at this price with plenty of soft ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit. A versatile and easy-drinking wine that goes well with grilled meat
