A blend of traditional local grape varieties, hand-picked from three estates in the region of Obidos, to the north of Lisbon. The grapes are fully de-stemmed, lightly crushed and following fermentation, the wine is matured for 6-8 months without oak. A fragrant and uplifting nose of cherry and raspberry, with touches of violet and pudding spice. The palate is a cascade of forest fruits framed by robust and persistent tannins. A real hit with herbaceous and well-seasoned and roasted red meats.
