This is my second phone and i like it. First i like the clear view screen. The music quality is good. The camera takes sharp pictures. And the video player is alright but nokia could improve it.
Its sleek and slim with a shiny metal back.
i can text easily with it. its easy to call. a friend of mine had the same phone and survived after getting runover by a car.

Its a good phone but they could improve the software

By all accounts this phone may seem good, its nice, easy to use, small ect ect BUT if your a heavy user then its not so good. I use mines for business and if you have any decent amount of texts or pictures on the phone it will start to cut out and freeze on you which is very very frustrating. This is my second replacement in 1.5 years so I would look elsewhere if I had the oppertunity.

Good phone without too many frills,reasonably good battery life, had to buy the data cable seperately, which ideally should have been included by nokia.Has bluetooth,storage which is expandable and looks good too!

Decided to finally update an aging Nokia and very happy with the result. Calendar & messenging a lot better than I was used to.
Would recommend this model as slim neat easy to use (once you get used to it).

I have had this phone for about a year and a half and I can honestly say that this is the best phone that I have ever aquired. It provides everything youd need and more. You can personalize it very well, with pictures for backgrounds, a screen saver that can be used with gifs pictures, caller pictures, mp3 ringtones and even for text message tones!

The 2 blue lights on the side of the phone are very handy so you dont have to press your buttons to check wheather youve got a text message or a missed call.

The only downside is theres no flash on the camera but most phones dont have a flash and if taking pictures the only thing you want a phone for then this isnt for you.

Weighing up everything that this provides, it is number one on my phone list and I know this because I had brought a touch screen phone recently, which after a while have decided that it wasnt for me and will be sticking with the Nokia 6300 for as long as it works.

Go Buy 2000 supply their products without any means of identification whatsoever. The brand new product I purchased came with, no means of initiating the warranty period and the authenticity of the product could not be verified. I believe that other sellers products are genuine but Go Buy 2000 supplied a so-called brand new product to me in a re-sealable plastic bag! and not a blister-pack as advertised. They will also tell you that Amazon advise them not to refund postage costs. This is of course a lie. Of course Amazon do not advise their sellers not to refund postage. Judging by the feedback Go Buy 2000 are getting it can only be a matter of time before Amazon suspend their account. If you dont want to be disappointed please use another seller

The good bits:
* Its a Nokia so its quite simple to use
* It has an MP3 player and VHF radio built in
* It has a simple 2mp camera
* Its compact

The bad bits:
* Shiny phone surface scratches very easily
* Battery life is much less than advertised 3-4 days max with moderate use
* The camera is VERY basic with no flash
* There is no convenient and robust design of carry case that I have found yet
* The four function keys are very small as is the central square rocker
* The supplied memory is very small and youll need to buy an extra Micro SD card if you want to store much music or photos

Summary:
* OK but not brilliant

I have been a faithful buyer of Nokia phones due to their reliability and ease of function however this phone has caused me nothing short of a heap of trouble.
The battery lasts with minimal use 2 days max and that whilst also turning it off at night time.
The camera is awful, very grainy and you need a wrist as stiff a a social worker in order to hold the phone still enough in order to not create blurred photos.
To add insult in injury my phone lasted all of 3 days then totally packed up so its straight back for a refund.
I think the quality of Nokia phones has fallen in recent times, ive got many friends who also feel the same.

This phone was touted as a replacement ( Im going back to this 6310i ) for the indestructible Nokia 6310.

I do not know if the Nokia designers remembered to incorporate an aerial. I have two phones on O2 the Sony Ericcson K800i reports 5 bars signal strength....the 6300 manages 1 to 2 bars at the same location. Useless.

It also seems to terminate calls - a phone fault not the network.

Battery life was also an afterthought to the Nokia designers, you will need two batteries for regular daily use without recharging.

Styling good....but whats the point if it underperforms an old design like the ancient 6310i ??

Dont waste your money.

Richard

Neat, compact, well-built mid-range offering from Nokia. Was a bit dissappointed with my previous N90, but so far this mobile has redeemed Nokia in my opinion. Light but with a good solid feel to it, and not cheap looking or plasticky as I feared! Is actually quite slim and elegant. So far so good!!

This is possibly the best phone ive had, though i am not interested in new fangled pieces of technology. As far as i am concerned i want a phone that can call people and text people without dying or crashing as i find some technological phones seem to do.

Battery life is about 3 days with medium usage, the memory you get with it is pretty good and can fit a fair few songs and photos on it. OK, the camera and mp3 player may not be the best around but i think it is perfectly reasonable for a phone.

Its pretty slim and light, though not the smallest phone around. The screen is my favourite thing though, it is big and clear and i find this brilliant as i can be a bit short of sight at times.

My conclusion is, this may not be a phone for all you technology lovers who expect the world of their phones, but for all those wanting their phones to do simple jobs with a the odd fancy-footwork thrown in, this phone is perfect for you.
