| Nokia | 9300 Communicator | I knew as soon as I could afford this phone, which I purchased back in May 2005, that it would at least meet with my expectations (after a lot of research). It exceeded them.
As a business owner I was looking for something between a phone and a PDA that would allow me to send and receive emails, browse the internet (infrequently) and view the PDFs and MS Word documents that are often attached with emails that I receive from Clients. Texting is extremely easy and quick too.
The Symbian Operating System has (or had) a reasonable amount of support and developers working on compatible software which would open the phone up to more than just the pre-installed applications. Lots of phones today have similar functions but 2 years ago there wasnt as much choice.
I did consider the 9500 at the time, which had wi-fi and a built in camera - the size of it put me off (I may as well drag a laptop around with me everywhere).
The only downside with the 9300 is that you dont have wi-fi or a camera. Then again, would anyone have bought the 9500? The 9300i was halfway there, although bit too late for me to fork out another £500 for 1 additional function.

Quality isn`t as high, as of a digital photo camera, but... if not because of the phone I wouldn`t got so many dear to my heart images to look at from time to time... The connection and quality of sound during a call is fantastic. Its easy to use... Of course, it has some drawbacks.Just to mention few, like `lagging` when idled, low ring volume (I can`t hear it when it is in my pocket), weak keypad keys, `Out of memory` notification only after you tried to save a captured picture by camera or an SMS, less than 30 secs for voice recording, long time saving a picture to a phone memory, etc... Oh, and because it is Vodafone it is full of unnecessary `software` like LIVE!, etc...
I have bought today a budget Samsung SHG X510 phone... For nearly the same price. Ok, 80 euros three years ago and now are different money. But, I don`t see how this phone is superior to my beloved Sagem. Only reason I bought it was my need to get a `free` not SIM-locked phone. I would like to put 4,5... | VIRGIN MOBILE | SIEMENS CL75 | hi, i got this fone for xmas and i am so pleased with it the camera is great and so is the video on it. the games are rubbish but who cares! the mirror is good; clear and v. useful press a button and there you go. the poppy on it makes it more girly than any other fone, i got a charm with mine which looks nice - only problem is that it goes at the bottom of your fone which can get annoying, the fone is the right size for me definatly the right price! and a great fone for a girly girl

It is just like the samsung d500 except it is availble in a nicer colour and instead of having bluetooth it has infrared. For a celeb style top class phone buy this. For a super celeb style phone spend an extra tenner. Buy a data cable and Cd of ebay for a fiver so you can transfer music files to your mp3 player on the phone and add on loads of wallpapers, games, mp3`s, video clips and ringtones. Then buy one of those little acessories that dangle on the phone and say things like I love Dorks. For a real top bling fone buy some stick on gems. Sorted.
