RapescoMaster Nailer Pro 181ELThis is the first nail gun I have owned and would highly recommend it, I do a lot of home D.I.Y and have srtuggled for years holding small nails and pins trying to hammer them home, but not any more great power drives the nail home everytim just under the surface so no more nail punching either, easy loading of the nails just like putting staples into a stapler, if you do DIY get one! 5 out of 5sococsi06/03/2006 17:49:30

ClarkeAir Compressor KitI run a small woodworking business on the side and use this brad nailer regularly. It shoots brads perfectly and the compact size makes it very easy to store. The only downside to this item is it's benefit, the size. the tank is a little small but is good enough for the business i run.4 out of 5Glenn16/11/2003 12:32:54

ClarkeAir Compressor Kitthis product works quite well, the only problem i see is that the tank is very small. however it is perfect for doing alot of finish carpentry such a trim and modeling. it shoots brad nails beautifully.3 out of 5Craig08/10/2003 11:59:51

ARROWEtf50PbnI'd heard these were way overrated but found one for a good price on an auction site. This unit contains a "hair-trigger," and will not countersink staples unless you're pressing VERY firmly on the surface to be stapled, especially with hardwoods. It has a significant kickback during the staple firing which offsets the proper placement and penetration of the fastener. Otherwise I promise you will be getting a hammer out, which defeats the whole purpose.

Regarding the brad nails, it only takes one size... the 5/8" 15mm. I tried nailing some simple cherry quarter round two cabinets, and not one was driven all the way in. And these brads are impossible to countersink with a punch. After reading the directions several times and practicing an awful lot, it remained un-changed.

Bottom line: If all you want is to staple upholstery, you might like it. For people who want a simple, efficient woodworking fastening tool that works, forget it. Stick with pneumo and don't waste your time.

CosmoAir Nail Gun/StaplerThis product does what it says on the box! Use it for the jobs it was designed for and you can`t go wrong. Consider it more as a pin/staple gun than a heavy duty nail gun. Which it ain`t!! I`m a semi-retired carpenter & joiner and this is a tool that`s become a good companion. Like any tool treat it with respect, keep it clean and use the proper lubricant every time before use. I use Tool Box Buddy air gun lubricant.
