Vita Audio unveils latest radio design 12 June 2009
Vita Audio has launched its latest radio design as it continues in its quest to deliver small but perfectly formed audio devices.
The company has unveiled its R2i Stereo System, which uses the company's distinctive RotoDial controller to navigate users through DAB and FM radio stations, as well as tracks taken from the user's iPod, which can be hooked up to the device's docking station.
Offering high-quality radio and iPod audio output, the R2i also has a headphone socket which uses the latest technology to ensure that output volume is 'remembered' distinctly from the main volume control once it has been set.
"R2i Stereo System embodies our principles of high performance and design in a beautifully crafted package that looks and sounds sublime," Vita Audio said.
Despite the fact that it will be some years before UK broadcasters begin using DAB+ technology, the R2i is already equipped to receive the signal, meaning users won't have to replace their new purchase within a few years simply because the technology has become out of date.
The UK is one of five European countries pushing for the rollout of mobile radio services over the DAB network.
The countries are keen to enhance the use of the technology across the continent using DMB and DAB network standards.
