This is a gem of a game. With 42 games in one there is a lot of gameplay. Cardgames like Old Maid, Spit, I doubt it, Memory, Rummy, Solitaire, Heart, Last Card and Poker. Board games like Ludo, Chess, Checkers, Turncoat and Grid. Others like Word balloon, Mahjong, Escape and Shake.

This game keeps me entertained for hours. Ive had it for a few years now and I simply dont tire of it.
Its perfect for anyone who loves games, especially for those who dont have a lot of people to play with. Depending on the game you can play against up to 8 CPU opponents and choose between 3 levels of difficulty.
Highly recommended for anyone into card and board games.

This has got to be my favourite DS game purchased.

It is permanently in my DS, the other games get chucked by the wayside.

The choice of games are excellent and are grouped in board and card games. Some games are quickies, others can go on and on if you have time to spare.

If your short of cash and can only spend it on one game, I would buy this.

Bought this game as i prefer puzzle games but to be honest I much prefer Touchmaster and More Touchmaster as they have more variety. This one is good if you like card games and can play poker!

I like this game very much there are plenty of different games to play for example ten pin bowling and darts. They are not too difficult either which I like. I would recommend this game.

When I first loaded up 42 All-Time Classics I didnt know which game to play first as you really are spoilt for choice. Most of the the games can be played in multiplayer with up to 8 people by just using the one game card. There are lots of card games to enjoy which include Blackjack, Rummy, Texas Hold Em, Spades, Five Card Draw and many more. If you want a really hard challenge then try beating the DS at Chess and then chill out with some Bowling or Darts because the DS will kick your butt time after time with Chess. Other games which I enjoy playing are Checkers, Dots and Boxes, Connect Five, Billiards and Balance. This is the best value for money game on the DS and there really is something for everyone to enjoy.

Im fairly new to Nintendo having just bought my games console in January. However, Im addicted! I was looking for something I could take on holiay where I had to give a little thought to what I was doing. I read many of the reviews for games and quite a number for this one and decided this was the one to buy. Im very pleased with it but have just a few negative comments. Lots of the card games have many instructions before you can play them, which is frustrating when youre dying to get going. Having said that, theyre really informative BUT, you must play them regularly or you forget which instructions go with which game! I get a good feeling when I win, but become so frustrated when I cant - namely on chess and draughts. I can play chess and draughts on proper boards and actually win, but I dont seem to be able to do it here. Same goes for the sandwich your opponents game. The Billiards one I cant seem to crack at all either. This sounds as if I dont rate this game at all, but I do. I would still recommend people buy it; I find it very hard to put down at times and have to time-limit myself if Im playing before bedtime or Id never get to sleep!

This was given to me as a bday present and I have had great fun playing it so far.
The 42 games are diverse in type and difficulty. There are games of various types: card, strategy, board games, action (darts and bowling) etc
There are various ways to play too - freeplay, stamp or mission. My favourite is stamp. This requires the player to gain three stamps for each game to move on to the next game and eventually the next level.

This is the type of game you can play quickly if you only have 10 minutes - OR you can be absorbed for hours!

Great value for what you pay!

This is a great game for those who like to play a number of different games for just short periods of time. However, it is also very easy to play this game for a long time as it can get quite addicitive unlocking new designs!

The thing that helps keep your attention with this collection of games is that the choice is so varied.

There are arcade style games (10-pin bowling, darts etc), card games (rummy, bridge etc) and classic games such as dominoes, draughts/checkers and connect five.

Some of the versions of the games may seem a little strange (Solitaire Mah Jong just seemed like an excercise in matching shapes), but they are all a diversion.

I tend to play in Solo Stamp mode to while away dull commutes on the train. The games seem to last just about the right length of time for my journey, which means they are not too short to be pointless or too long to get boring. That said, if its been a particular game Im not too familiar with (and youll more than likely find a few youve never played) then I have come close to missing my stop because Ive got too involved in the game.

As the Amazon description says, it does exactly what the title suggests, and at less than £13 (at the time of reviewing) you really cant go wrong for this many games.

This was originally bought for my daughter but I have become addicted. It has everything from darts to bowling and all the old card games as well as the adult favourites. I especially love Solitaire and Blackjack. Although I am pleased I dont play for real money, otherwise I would be out of pocket. A good buy, I never get bored of playing it.

Very enjoyable product and well worth the money. I tried the Stamp Mode first of all in which you play all the games in order, passing to the next game when you win. This is a good way to learn each game and find out which ones you want to go back to later. Mostly I play Classic or Mahajong Solitaire and my partner plays the Bowling and Darts - still worth the money!

Although there are 42 games, there are missions, various levels and you can collect stamps through all the games, meaning hours of play
Some of the games are simple, but addictive. Others are addicitve in the fact that it seems impossible to win!
There are card games, board games, dice games, darts, biliards, bowling etc..
All in all really good value for money!

I just had to write this review as this game has proved to be most addictive. When I first switched it on, I was originally a little disappointed but that soon changed and now I cant put it down. It is the game that stays in the DS (which I always have with me)so that when I have a few minutes or longer I can switch it on and play. The stamp mode is what I play most, as you move through the levels you play different games so cannot get bored. You can choose what level the computer will play against you with so that the difficulty can be increased and then you have the free play where you can play specific games that have been unlocked if you only have a few minutes. Its a great game, Im a mature DS user and I cant put it down.

Love this game, very addictive, so much so my other half has gone and bought his own console cos he says he never gets a look in! There are a number of things I cant quite get my head around but thats because Ive never played some of the games before. One thing i cannot understand is - what on earth are those designs (not icons) i keep unlocking? What do I do with them - no explanation in the book!

I bought this for a long flight to NZ, and it wont disapoint, as the time flies, while i,m using it. There are different levels to attain, plus all the other games, well worth the money. Fully reccomended.

I was quite disappointed with this game. I found the music really irritating and the graphics very small, which caused eye strain after a while. I admit that there are a couple of addictive games on here, but if your not a fan of card games then I would leave well alone, as there are quite a number of them. Not one of my favourite DS games unfortunately.

I was given this for Christmas and so far its proving to be a firm favourite - some of the games have unfamiliar names but as soon as you start to play them, you will recognise them. There is a good mix of card games, board games, darts, bowling, billiards, balance - too many games to count and also you can unlock other games. Im not very good at platform games so straightforward games like this suit me.

Yup its a touch generation type game that some people dont like, but they cant deny its amazing Nintendo polish. The interface and menus are very VERY well thought out and the games are wide ranging and fun. If you dont like most of these games - dont get it, simple... it isnt meant for you. I do have problems playing chess though as I find it hard to visualise and plan ahead, Im the type of person that needs the board infront of me, but that may be just how my brain works! Its a perfect pick up and play casual game and the online and multiplayer play is very good too.

I just got this game today and am hooked already. As an older Nintendo fan (40 something), I dont play all the shoot em up or beat the clock type games. I like games that I can play at my leisure and think about. This is definitely the one to have. Got it hooked up to my wireless internet easily and was playing backgammon with someone in no time. Its not one of those games where once you play to the end, youre done. Lots of variety and Im sure it will keep me entertained for hours, days, even months to come.

Im one of those people who own a DS so i can just pick it up and kill some time. This game is my fav by far, and trust me i own many ! It has loads of games to play from darts to card games which are all very addictive and easy to play. The real bonus about this game is playing with others using the WiFI. The chat option when playing against people via the wifi is very limited but its very safe for children, you dont need friends codes either. All the games can be played using ds to ds game play and you dont need two games to play against others either. If i was only allowed one game for my DS this would be it !
