I needed to find a walkthough for one part as it was difficult but great storylines as there are two seperate stories running through the game. I loved hotel dusk and found this a similar style.

Ive wanted this game for a long time, and reading the reviews didnt help either as it made me want it more. Finally, i was lucky enough to win it on ebay under the American name `trace memory.` As soon as it came, i began to play it, and i was not dissapointed!

First thing, im not going to bore anyone with the details of the game as the synopsis says it all. There were many things i loved about the game- the characters felt realstic and as the game got on, i was wanting to find the information so that both Ashley and D would be set free. The graphics were fantastic, especially in the masion later on. The sound track was cool as well and added to the atmosphere. The puzzles are varied and although theyre not hard, you really do have to think about them. It even says in the booklet `if youre stuck, close the ds and take a break- youll be surprised!` This actually happened on one occasion- i was in a queue and without warning, the answer came to me! I got some funny looks, but when i opened the ds and tried what i thought was the answer, i was right! The story line was brilliant and made you want to carry on. I also found the save feature great, which meant i could save anywhere if i needed a break or had to go to bed (i did buy mine second hand so i dont know if its on there if bought new). What i also liked is that it can be played again if you dont do certain things- im going to start again soon!

There are a few minor details that gives the game 4 stars- the soundtrack can be repetative but the sections are small and you soon find yourself moving on, so it shouldnt annoy you. Some have complained that you cant pick up an item and then find out that you need it and have to go back. My thought is that you wouldnt pick it up unessesarily, so it makes sense that you have to go back and find it. Although, it did become annoying at some points because i couldnt remember where the item was, so i wandered aimlessly for a while. I think a little hint would have made it better? I also found some of the items a little too far from the destination, and with some items, i didnt know what they were used for, and it was only thanks to a walkthrough guide i could see what it was meant for (but this happened only twice and was frustrated!)

Overall, i loved this adventure and it was nearly perfect. I also had Cings next adventure, Hotel dusk, which i will be reviewing seperatly. They have got something which makes the gamer want more. I only hope their next game will be the same and leave people coming back for more.

Yet another classic adventure game on the DS. A little underated i think. You dont get many true old style adventure games on the DS so this is a gem. Lots of puzzle solving - and some of it not easy! great story. I loved every second of it! highly recommended! put down those shooting and racing games and get a load of this!.

...is a brilliant game full of puzzles and mysteries. The game tells the story of a girl looking for her father and helping a ghost find its memories. Im 11 and Im found it easy to complete, so I think anyone over 13 will find it simple, although some parts can be a little tricky and require patience. The plot is interesting and makes you want to continue playing. The graphics are great and the style of them is realy cool. The sound effects and music are good, although the creaking floor boards become annoying after a while. Also, when you play the game a second time the game is slightly different. The characters are all different.
Definetly my favourite game ever.

This game was amazingly fun. Bit short (I completed it in about 4 hours) but very good game detective-wise.
As with most detective games there are couple of stories that tie in with eachother, and that one crucial piece of evidence that wont let you move on to the next level!
fantastic, cant wait for another like it ^^
