This has been a good buy. Battery life is ok - but I have invested in some rechargeables so not a problem. I am using with a Projector and 2.4m screen in large front room. sensor bar is 4m from the Wii. absolutely no probs. Easy set up and sensitivity.

This is a cheap looking piece of kit but then you get what you pay for. Looks aside the performance is good, very responsive and accurate with no discernible delay. However this thing goes through batteries like nobodys business, and after just an hour of play its range is drastically reduced. Another hour and they need replacing. If you have rechargeables and dont mind a daily charging routine then this would be a good buy, but I will be switching to a wired extension after trying this

I brought this as a replacement to a broken wired sensor bar. The performance is identical to the wired bar, and at this price you cannot fault it.

4Gamers Wireless Sensor Bar (Wii)
Product does exactly what it should. However it comes without any instructions, or which way round to position it, which might seem obvious but isnt as the whole thing is black and either side could be the sensor. You figure it out eventually through trial and error. Sensor range is good, accuracy as good as the cable version.

I purchased this product as a replacement for the official Nintendo sensor bar after my cat chewed through the wire. When I first started using this sensor bar I would have agreed with those who have given it a good score. It was easy to set up and seemed to be working just as well as the original. I was pleased and thought that I had got a good deal.
However, after only a few weeks it stopped working properly. It would still acknowledge pressing buttons on the Wii remote but did not pick up movements properly, making it near impossible to select anything on the main menu or accurately point to objects on the screen. As this is a basic feature of most Wii games, I now have to wait for the new sensor bar I have ordered to arrive before I can use my console again.
Also, Id like to point out that wireless sensor bars as a whole are not something I would want to use again due to the constant battery charging and changing required. I would advise others either to go for a more expensive, high quality option with battery indicator and USB charging capabilities or, probably more ideally, a wired equivalent.
I gave this product 2 stars as, when working, it performed well and did not drain the rechargable batteries I used to power it too quickly. However, its lifespan is short and it is a false economy. I definitely wouldnt recommend it.

I got this product about six months ago after my wiis original sensor bar was broken in an accident. It worked perfectly for a while but its ability to place the pointer on the screen got worse and worse until it broke down totally.
Not only did I waste my money on this but I also had to waste money on the large number of batteries required to power the thing.

Very simply it does what it says on the box. Inserted batteries, worked first time no setting up required, seems to work better than the original sensor.

Although I have the proper wired sensor bar that comes with the Wii, I occasionally take my wii round to friends houses and use it on other tvs in the house - and this wireless bar is perfect for such occasions. Whilst it is a little hungry on the batteries (Id suggest buying a few packs of rechargeable batteries) and a bit bigger than I expected, it works perfectly with no problem at all to set up (just press the on button). Apart from the Wii itself and the controllers, this is probably one of the best accessories I have bought and would have no problem recommending it for use as a secondary sensor bar for when you are using your Wii away from the normal tv you use it on if you dont want to have to unplug and reposition the wired sensor bar all the time.

The bar is just a infrared transmitter, it has two points of infra red.
Bluetooth is what actually makes the control wireless, infra red is used as a locator.
Two lit candles on the top of the tv will do the same thing, your wii remote will pick up the infra red from the candles (heat).
However if your tv cant have two little tealight candles on it or you fear/liable to burn your house down then this item is a more expensive version, batteries cost more than candles! lol.But are safer.
The bar you get with the machine does the trick though.

Pls note that my sensor bar is powered by 6 AAA batteries and not the AA as suggested above. I suggest checking the unit itself, before spending a small fortune on 2 sets of the wrong size rechargable batteries and not relying on the info posted above.
