I bought this game for my 8 year old daughter, thinking that it would help her to learn about the environment and wildlife. Initially she enjoyed caring for the animals, gaining their trust and feeding them and then, one day, she told us that shed stopped playing it because one of the squirrels, whod shed named and looked after, had been eaten! She was so upset that she didnt want to play it ever again. Dont buy this game.

The game has worked perfectly and the graphics keep my daughter occupied with fun daily. The cost and delivery were excellent and I would use amazon to anyone.

My son was looking forward to this game for Easter, he had an accident at school so to cheer him up he had this game a few weeks early. He hated the game after just a couple of of hours. He was so so bored that he started `tormenting` the animals which I found really unpleasant. I cant see how giving a child the ability to throw a cat into the water just because he is bored is a good thing. Of course he knows that it isnt a real cat, but I still think that it isnt a good thing to let him behave badly, even in a virtual environment. He is not a sadistic child and I want him to stay that way.

I got this because it is heavily advertised on TV for little kids; it has a cert 3 with a cute fox and bear.
The controls are fine but the content is awful.
Apart from being slow and boring, it allows (encourages?) little kids to pick up a cat say by the scruff of its neck and throw it yowling into the lake. Nice. Also if a predatory animal kills a smaller one a picture of that animal and a gravestone comes up.
Im not a bleeing heart animal lover by any means but it is a mindless, pointless game with no educational content and not much fun. Luckily we rented it, so it went back after a few hours.
