Easy to use but different levels ensure that you will be challenged. The options of Bass, Lead, singing, and drums means that the whole family can play (or have a laugh when your mates are around for a drink). Good mix of songs should ensure that there is something for everyone.

As a newcomer to the Guitar Hero series with GH3 on the Wii, I was very much looking forward to this being released - but was disappointed to find that they did not plan to release a game + drum option for those of us with 2 guitars already. And even now, 2 months down the line have not even announced the release of individual controllers.
As far as the game itself goes, it is very enjoyable - similar to its predecessors with various improvements in both gameplay and content. Great for anyone new to the series and experts alike.
The only negative I have to mention about this game is the difficulty, even on the hardest setting (expert) its quite easy to clear most of the game (excluding a few exceptionally hard songs - BYOB for example) for anyone with a bit of previous experience on the harder modes in the previous games.

Got for £20.20 in sale so got bargain for what is a very good followup to GH3. Songs are of high quality and the new downloading of songs function is welcome.

I loved Guitar Hero 3, so naturally World Tour was the next step for me. Even if you have played Guitar Hero 3, I would suggest sitting through the Tutorial, so you can get to grips with some of the new features in the game. The game improves on every single aspect of Guitar Hero 3. If the first installment of the Guitar Hero series set the bar on the Wii, then World Tour just went and set it even higher. You can choose which part of the band you want to play, wether you want to be the drummer, sing your heart out, play some bass or my personal favourite, play some solos as the guitarist. World Tour mode allows you to play through it on your own or if you got some friends round, play through it as a fully fledged band. The online mode is one area where the game shines out. You just choose what settings you want, and start searching. You can play against someone, or join up with people around the world and rock out to the list of songs you got to choose from. You can play songs you have downloaded, but only if all the parties in question have the song. I would suggest getting a SD Card if you wish to download songs. The songs will eat up your Wiis memory like nobodys business. But so long as you have a SD Card, you can put the songs there, and you can still play them without having to move or delete files. There isnt much to choose from at the time i wrote this, but hopefully there will be more in the future. Overall, if you lked any of the previous installments of Guitar Hero, then you will love this.

If you like Rock Band then this update on Guitar Heroes is worth the money although you should either buy the guitar bundle or band bundle as the controls are strange using the bog standard controller.
It will cost more but the fun to be had exceeds the controller only.
And I dont see the point in buying a game for the wii that you are going to play on your own. It is designed to be shared with friends or family.
Overall wonderful; just buy some accesories at the same time.

I loved GH3 so took the next logical step.
I was so excited by the first downloadable content for a Wii game. Especially knowing the whole new Metallica album was available!
Oh turns out it isnt fully avaliable for Wii. Just 3 of the tracks...
Where as PS3 and Xbox get full song packs apparently this isnt possible on the Wii! The number of downloadable tracks available now and probably in the future will be far far less than on those other consoles.
Great game, just a shame about this detail!
