Not a bad game but highly frustrating when you get fragged from behind after being in the lead for most of the race. the kids (7 & 4) found the karts more difficult to control than I thought - hopefully this will get better. As a result, they dont play it as much as I thought they would. They much prefer Tennis and bowling.

I was surprised to be asked to review this product as it never turned up . The market place seller turned out to be bad one and it took weeks of him failing to deliver to the sellers before Amazon realised he was ripping us off. Anyway even more weeks later after a claim I got my money back but no game which I bought almost as cheap at The Hut.

I bought this game for my nephew and he absolutely loves playing it. In fact at times i had to tell him to stop and take a break as he plays from virtually waking up till he goes to sleep. My nephew rates this game very highly and would recommend it to others.

absolutely worth every penny.....i wish i had bought it earlier but the price put me off a bit.all family can have a go....my children range from 5 years to 20 years and are not normally into games or the like but we all found this great fun......including adults who were highly competitive.works well with both sexes and all ages at all levels.

I picked up this game on the 26th (yesterday) from my local game store and right away the entire family started playing. The game is very simple and not much different from the other Mario Karts of past except of course for the onlilne play which we havent tried out as yet. There are a few characters to choose from, adult and baby alike and steering is pretty easy. You race against your chose characters and your Miis are also included in the races. You just might see your Mii pass you by. We did it without the wheel (since we only had 1) and was surprised at how easy it was. The graphics are also pretty good. You go forward by using the 1 and 2 button to go forward or reverse and B to use your special. All in all a very good game and it was well worth the wait.

There is nothing bad about it! This game is a must have! It now has 12 coin runner and balloon battle courses instead of only 6.

im not a particular fan of driving games as after a while they make me feel sick , but i have never had this with mariocart maybe becasue there is lots of other things going on and its great if you are a family and you have wifi as this gives you another dimension playing with somone in china or boston. cant rate this higher play this more than any other game.

This is one of the best wii games, but its not without fault.
Good drivers are too heavily penalized, being in first place for 2 and a half laps and then getting hit 5 times by blue shells is not fair!

I bought this game coz my mate comes in and plays with me and my speaicl needs kids. one adhd and one who has a lots of aultistic tendances. its fantastic in easy to use and lots of leaves. so u can explore lots in the game. but my mate was very good at driving games and we found when ever he got to first place the game would do something to knock him back. so it was almost impossible to win. do need a wheel to play it. overal my family enjoy this game.

My son is a logical learner and numbers and electronic games play to his strengths. We bought the wii as a family entertainment system, my son, aged 3.5 yrs, is able to play Mario Karts on an equal playing field with myself, my husband and my daughter - and the 3 of us rarely win! His hand-eye coordination has improved dramatically and his confidence has blossomed remarkably. This game appeals to children and adults of all ages, if they are remotely interested in gaming and is a `safe` game to play around young children as there is no swinging of the wii remote, as with many other wii games. One of the very best wii buys that Ive come across so far.

Definitely the best version of Mario Kart so far, this game is fantastic fun for all the family. You can use the Wii wheel, which works very well, but personally I prefer the nun chuck.
The online aspect of this game adds so much value - you can race against friends, or play against random people. You can compare your time trial times with others around the globe, and even download ghosts so you can see how they achieved their times!
Highly recommended :-)

I sold this game on after a week. I love Mario Kart games, Im a big Nintendo fan... But this game is just frustrating. No matter how well you drive you never know whether youre going to win or come 12th until you cross the line. Waiting to see whether you get hit 5 times on the final straight is about as much fun as rolling dice trying to score a 6. Ok, it makes it possible for a beginner to stay involved, but it also means theres no way to get good. I was so looking forward to this game, and so disappointed.

We dont have Internet connection; therefore all games are played offline. Whilst we absolutely love this game with 2 or more players, its longevity as a single player game for the older kids is limited.
Gameplay is superb; I would just like to see it developed with more tracks that are also longer; the formula is already there.
This is the only reason the review is 4/5.

it was good fun for a while but after a month of the casual gaming i had unlocked the main game. good for kids but if you are over 12 you will want something a bit more stimulating. the wheel you get is good quality but it makes the game harder and as a concequence less fun overall for £25 its a good buy as long as u can sell again and recoup the costs.

THIS IS THE BEST GAME ON WII (ALONG WITH MARIO GALAXY OF COURSE!!)
This game is the best game on Wii I have! I have completed all of the time trials and grand prix. I am now trying to get star ratings on grand prix to get an online star and get better points!
I dont use the wheel that comes with it at all - I definitely recommend buying a nun chuck to go with the remote - definitely the best combination for top competitive racing!
The racing compared to on the other consoles with Mario Kart is much better - you can now do tricks on the jumps.
The online gaming is fantastic, does not lag and its exciting knowing your playing with people all over the world. There is not only racing too, battle mode is also great!
If you download the Mario Kart channel, there is online competitions to get the fastest time in the world, so that also adds to the excitement! You can also race against other people ghost - watching them different short cuts and tricks in the different courses!
Definitely buy this game if you have a Wii - YOU WILL GET ADDICTED TO RACING!!

My girlfriend hates computer games, but when she saw the Wii advertised I was shocked to hear her say `that looks like fun.` We bought one and she loved it. Then she saw an advert for `Mario Kart Wii`, and repeated her catchphrase, and lo, a copy was purchased. We bought a second wheel, sat on the sofa, and off we went.
To say that the game is fun is an understatement. At first it is a little frustrating, when you find yourself getting lost on the circuits, not knowing what the cubes you drive through mean (pickups!) and also struggling to master the controls, but then all of a sudden you find youve cracked it, and the fun begins. Fire up a grand prix, race each other for a cup, and youll find yourselves laughing like loons and having a whale of a time.
Loads of circuits to choose from, and plenty of different opponents & vehicles to race. Also a good range of race modes, plus a hugely entertaining internet mode where you can race friends from around the world.
Possibly the most enjoyable computer game Ive ever played. If you have a Wii, you need this!

Mario Kart - Great game, especially for the under 13s.
The Wii console is fantastic for driving games. Anyone over 3 years of age can get the gist of how to steer. There is loads of fun for the young ones with plenty of characters from the Mario World to choose from, and a whole host of whacky vehicles.
A short review but essentially the point is, Its a good game for anyone.

Bought this as requested by my grandchildren for Christmas. It was super fun for them both who are 11years and 12years but found after Christmas day everyone was hooked and desparate to have a go! I had purchased extra a wheel so we were all very competitive and keeping scores to see who could outdo each other.
I feel Wii is one of the best toys of recent years. Mario Cart is certainly great fun for all the family and is a game any one from the very young to the older generation can enjoy.We all love it.

I usually find driving games a bit boring but this one is so much fun that I couldnt straighten my thumb by the end of boxing day! The power-ups make it more like a traditional Mario platform game and the better you do, the more you unlock. You can also play multiplayer in the same team so it doesnt have to be so competitive if that is what you prefer.

Plot: Not so much of a plot here but just a great cartoon racing game to load up at any point without having the feel of needing to play for a certain length of time.
Graphics: Typical Mario graphics. Wouldnt say they were amazing but wouldnt say they were bad either.
Sounds: I did find the sounds to get a bit annoying after a while when playing single player. However, when playing multiplayer they didnt really bother me.
Controls: Very simple. Can be played by anyone seeing you only have to use a couple of buttons. Its a game you can get anyone to play as you dont need either any racing game experience or console experience to get used to it making the game fair for everyone.
Lifespan: Although unlocking the items doesnt take long, its the kind of game that can always be pulled out for a bit of fun gaming or when you have a group of mates around.
Overall: Good game single player but a great game with multiplayer.

This game is a welcome alternative to the standard sports/fitness games that the Wii is so good for. The game is great fun and great to enjoy with friends!
I still play to this day my Nintendo 64 version of Mario Kart and have never found anything to compete with it - but here it is!
Brilliant graphics and the weapons are great fun... no race is the same and it means that its not always the BEST racers that come first - playing tactically works also!
The online playing is good fun for the players who want a little more out of the game but beware - there are copetitive people online.
I highly recommend getting additional Wii Wheels for any extra players - and at less than £7 each you cant go wrong.
Brilliant game, great fun... a must have!

ok i admit it is a good game with twelve racers on the screen at once, new weapons and a brilliant online mode and good graphics and the bikes dont ruin it, my problems with them game start of with the controls the wii wheel steering is sometimes unresponsive which forced me to use a gamecube controller and mirror mode is really hard, and so are the lower classess, beacause the game has rubber-band ai (now matter how far ahead you are they managed to catch up) but still it is good but i prefer double dash!! to this

This is my first introduction to the Raving Rabbids series, and I have to say its utter madness.
I had this shortly before christmas, and still cant imagine where these guys got their inspiration from!
That aside, the game is great, its a fantastic party game, compiled of many many mini games which are very addictive. With the balance board, it allows one lucky player to take on different challenges (while the others try to sabotage them). There is also the ad-break mode - basically adds a mini game in the form of an advert into the gameplay, allowing the winner to get a special bonus to help with the current mini game being played? Confused yet? You will be - but thats what makes it so much fun!
While the game is great on multiplayer, I feel it lacks the excitement as a single player game. Get your mates round and have some fun!

Hi, for the other dads out there and adding to the people that left good reviews, my son loves it and I like it becuase it gets him moving and spending some of the extra calories he seems to be accumulating this winter. The Wii Balance Board adds an extra layer of fun and in many games is not just the moving but also get him to train a greater sense of balance and synchronization. I also bought 3 other games for him (Hulk, Spider Man and Iron Man), which I all king of regret a little, but not this on.

Ive been a fan of the Mario Kart series for a while now, and have played on almost every game since Super Mariokart on the SNES, but I think this is by far the best so far.
Gameplay is excellent with the usually concept of racing againt the computer or friends blowing each other up with weapons, some of which are the classics and others are new to the series.
There is also a good selection of tracks, with 16 new ones and 16 classic ones take from older games in the series. It is great to see the retro tracks again, especially using the Wiis cool graphics.
I also like the fact that you can choose the contols you want to use. Of course you can use the wheel, but I myself prefer using the remote and the numchuck as it is much easier I think. If you wanted you can use tge Wii classic controller or even the game cube one.
This is great family fun, just like the old games but better. Must have!

This game is probably the best game so far for the Wii. The racing game comes packaged with the Wii Wheel, which you pop your Wii remote into and start driving as if it were a real car!
The gameplay is excellent. The game has a vast number of tracks -- 32 in all. 16 are new tracks, and the other 16 are retro tracks from older Mario Kart instalments. The new tracks are very well designed indeed, and the retro tracks have been updated perfectly. The game is very fun and incredibly addictive.
Single-player mode is where you unlock all the usual stuff: new karts, bikes (did I mention you can drive bikes instead of karts?), characters, and other miscellaneous things. However the difficult setting on single-player (150cc) is at times downright unfair and can get irritating as the CPU players seem to be given the ability to cheat to some extent.
As a kart racer, however, the game excels in multi-player. 2-4 players can play on one Wii (provided you have enough controllers). As well as racing each other they can, of course, enter a battle arena and team up against each other. There are 10 battle arenas (5 new, 5 retro), perfectly designed once again.
New to Mario Kart is online play. If your Wii is connected to the internet, you can race/battle other racers all across the world (much more fun than single-player mode), or even your friends who have the game on their Wii.
All in all a very worthwhile buy. Ideal for all ages, not just children. Another great Nintendo game.

I have been trying to buy a Wii Fit for four months but am one of those stalwarts who refuses to pay more than the RRP for it. I have all the Raving Rabbid games but because of the balance board requirement I nearly didnt bother as I couldnt get one. Im so glad I relented and got one anyway! What a great game, even withouth the board! My son (10) and my boyfriend (40) are never off it which makes it hard for me to get in there.
Yes, its stupid, childish, essentially pointless, but it makes us all laugh like idiots and its GREAT fun!! I particularly like the music and dancing sections because theres always a new dance move or song Im not familiar with and that results in a gibbering heap of giggles!
If you can manage not to take it/yourself too seriously and just want to play a daft game, this is PERFECT!!! And once I finally get my Wii-fit, the board can open up a whole new dimension of a game well already be familiar with!

BEST DRIVING GAME EVER. it is really simple to understand and the ease of the using the steering wheel really helps with the level of fun you could have with game. I like it because you can play multiplayer races and vs battles as well as going on the wii connect 24 and challenging peoples ghost data from all over the world. (you need to connet your wii to the internet for that but that is simple enough to do)BEST GAME go and buy it see weather you agree with me i think you will.
