| PHILIPS | Video Sender | We`ve had one of these for 4 years now, it transmits through 2 breeze-block support walls and 3 plasterboard. The Transmitter is about 55 feet away from the Receiver in diagonally opposite corners of a 4 bedroom house. The house also has a wireless network system linking 5 computers and a cordless phone system with 4 handsets. There are no discernible issues between any of them, even when the 4 `channels` that the Philips can use have been tried. We did find that one channel gives a much clearer picture than the others, but *all* of them work, producing a fair to good picture, but that one channel is basically `spot-on`. I`m not sure why the Nov 2006 reviewer would suggest range issues or problems with other wireless devices, although in fairness I sent our first system back as remote control signals sent back to the transmitter didn`t work, perhaps his also has issues. I am an IT engineer with networking qualifications, but that said, I haven`t had to `tweak` the wireless network/computers and I`ve done nothing to the Philips either. They co-exist quite happily with the cordless phone system, all working as they came out of their respective boxes. We use it to send both DVD and Sky programs to our bedroom TV from the lounge - and other than when the microwave is in use, sound and picture are excellent. Microwave ovens DO cause massive interference but that is a known issue with all AV senders (Google for any make of AV sender reviews - invariably someone mentions it...). The picture received by the TV in the bedroom is clearer than terrestrial channels from the indoor aerial on it - it`s that good. Widescreen switching works flawlessly. Bottom line: Yes I`d buy another without hesitation. | | Martin Wood | 13/09/2007 10:33:55 |

| PHILIPS | Video Sender | As long as you don`t need to send the video more than 3 feet then these are ok. Although it manages to screw up wireless Internet pretty good from a distance of up to 500 yards!
If you`re neighbour is a tech-head and you want to ruin his day just switch these babies on and they will scramble his signal and render his wireless network defunct. I had great fun watching BT engineers come and go for weeks.
I offered to fix it for him but he decided to give up on wireless and stick with RJ45 rather than pay my fat fees ;-)

| PHILIPS | Video Sender | I got this video sender to replace a 2 year old phelix wand with faulty video. The audio is ok so thats on my hi-fi now. ;-)
This Philips video sender looks great and does not look out of place with your AV gear. My old video sender just had 1 scart in. But this one has 2 scart in and two out. This makes it easy to connect it into your AV setup. Picture quality is really good - sending signal directly above to my bedroom. I could not get my TV to auto switch into wide screen when the signal goes into and out of the sender. This may have been the scart lead I was using and not the fault of the unit. I have now wired it up so both my inputs dont use the output scart of the sender. My old video sender did not work too well with the Sky remote system - I could not point the remote directly at the video reciever unit. This Philips works well with the Sky satellite reciever.
Very good bit of kit! | | Ian Watson | 16/01/2003 11:03:29 |

| Ross | TV200 | I`ve managed to pick up virtually every Freeview channel by putting this aerial on an outside window ledge and pointing it towards the nearest transmitter. The fine tune control can be very useful; some channels may work better by clicking the wheel to a different setting. | | Harry Forrest | 16/02/2007 18:06:57 |

| YAMAHA | DSP-E800 | A huge improvement over my previous Kenwood pro-logic processor amp. This machine really draws you into the movies. The only big downside is you can't get surround sound with CDs without using the preset DSPs i.e. no tone defeat setting. | | | 21/10/2002 10:12:20 |

| Labgear | 1 Set TV FM Signal Booster | Purchased this to improve the signal for use with a DVB free-to-view digi box. The DVB box without the booster was showing a 5 out of 10 signal quality and with the booster it was 9. I tried it out on a portable with indoor aerial - all channels were grainy, channel 5 was unviewable, with the booster 1 to 4 was clear, 5 was grainy. | | Burt | 04/02/2003 10:05:44 |

| Telecam | TCE2000 | This is an appauling aerial. I`ve got an older indoor aerial that picks up all the channels and this picks up nothing. What a farce. Don`t buy it. It is a waste of money. | | Ricability lies | 14/05/2007 15:38:01 |
