Beautifully compact and slim with a good sound. I simply plugged my ipod Nano into it, turned it on and it was working straight away. I changed the nano to small speaker setting which gave a much clearer sound. Volume can be easily changed with 2 buttons on the front of the speaker. All the ipod features are also easily accessed with the remote control that comes with it so you dont have to keep taking it off the speaker to change music. The speakers fold up easily and are very flat so perfect for taking with you on a trip and also the european mains plug adaptor that came with it was a nice touch. The fact it also charges the ipod when it is switched off means its always charged when I need it. No interference on sound noticed after 2 months,I would recommend it.

I was given these speakers as a Christmas present to go with my new generation ipod touch and have been very pleased with them. Mine work fine with the new touch even though it has internal speakers and I needed to do nothing but plug it in!! I have so far experienced no crackling or interference either. I do concede that the dock seems a little flimsy but with careful handling should be fine. Would have bought these for myself!!

Its a nice looking product, but at first I thought it didnt work at all with the ipod touch 2nd gen. When you put the ipod touch into the docking station the sound just comes out of the internal speakers, the speaker system of the Gear 4 dont kick in. I realise now that to deactivate the internal speakers of the ipod touch you need to have something in the headphone jack, but because the headphone jack is on the same side as the docking/connection port of the ipod touch you cant have it in the Gear 4 system at the same time! So to use the speakers you have to take the ipod touch off of the Gear 4 speakers and attach a double ended lead between the ipod touch & Gear 4 speakers & then it works fine, although doesnt look as good! You dont have this problem with ipod nano for example as the Gear 4 speakers kick in automatically, its just any ipod with internal speakers built in. You can use the Gear 4 to charge your ipod touch, but not to play music through whilst its attached...unless Ive missed something!

For £35, (£50 in John Lewis) this is a brilliant ipod speaker set - not tinny, and with sufficient base to pass it as extremely competent. Add to that its amazing slim size and complimentary carry case, Im extremely glad with this purchase. And I am very fussy about speakers. AND I ordered it at 4.30pm on a Tuesday and it arrived on the Wednesday - it was the perfect online shopping experience - cheers Amazon.

This is an excellent little product and a bargain at £35 odd pounds. To get the best out of the unit, you need to access the EQ menu on your ipod and select `small speakers`. This transforms the sounds from something inside a tin to a well rounded sound and remarkable coming from so small an item. I have not experienced any feedback but I would suggest that you give it a dedicated socket so it doesnt get any interference from anything else you might be running at the same time. Equally dont place it near the mobile.
This is a fabulous item and means I can now access my full CD library in the kitchen as, apparently, my singing voice without any accompanying music needs some attention (I dont know what he can mean!!).
Enjoy!

This item doest work with the new iPod Touch, I saw it in HMV with the new Ipod docked in it (God knows how they managed that!) and bought one (from Gamestation cos it was £15 cheaper) only to discover that it doesnt connect at all, I have a 5th Gen Ipod Video and Ive got to say I wasnt that impressed with the sound considering the price, you can get better for cheaper!
