I am too busy for games so I cannot play in real time - I get interrupted to often. For me Legion is perfect because the game can be interrupted any time - it will wait. After learning how to play - build cities, raise armies, give battle orders - I found the game very addictive.
I like the challenge of building an empire starting with a village or two, to know when to attack or just build up my cities, to choose between crushing a neighbour or letting them be. I found the diplomacy inefective in most cases but a couple of times it worked well. I wish there were add-on settings you could buy when those delivered with the game became too familiar.

Its ups are that the battles created in this game are well showin and good graphics to go with it. the bads are that its kinda confusing of how to get lumber and stuff. But when you find that out then the worlds ur oyster (i dont get it either :P)

The manual is limited but that adds to the challenge. The diplomacy is absurd. You can agree peace with an enemy one turn then attack them the next with no obvious penalty. The biggest mistake is that units gain experience too quickly and become impossibly strong. The AI is non-existant. No historical background is included. On the plus side, city development is simple but challenging. The battles can be fun, with tatics making a huge difference. The interface is good and not a single crash. If you want a stress free introduction to wargaming then buy it. More experienced wargamers test out any sequels.
