Terrible dont buy it - I had mine 15months (warranty only lasts 12) kept
cutting out no sound no picture etc had it repaired cost £93.00 and the
repair lasted 3 months. Contacted Phillips who were just not interested
at all paid £899.00 for this set absolute disgrace would never buy another
Phillips Product helpdesk recommended a repair firm that charged me £93.00
and couldnt tell me how they had repaired it but repair only lasted 12
weeks anyway complained but got nowhere

We have had ours 1 year and 10 days when it went off for no reason.Would
not get another plasma telly as this is our 2nd in 2 years.This telly did
not have pip modes as stated

If you can get this cheap, which I did (£799.99), this is well worth buying. At that price its a big TV for your money.
The picture quality is good, but this is not HD ready and you can now get HD ready TVs for the same price Amazon are selling this for. Maybe not 42` but Ive seen 37` LCD HD ready for £999.99.
The first one I had delivered had to go back as it turned itself off every 2 mins. Be aware that the box this (and probably any 42`) TV is delivered in is huge, and ideally you want to keep the box in the event of having to return it like I did. Its a lot of cardboard!
However when its replacement was delivered a few days later the delivery men said that it was `unusual for these to go wrong`. The replacement has been fine and I am very happy with it.

Recommend. Excellent. Only had it 2 weeks but not had a single problem.
Used with Xbox, DVD player, PC - all really good. Some channels a little
pixelated, but that is the broadcast not the
TV.
