I have a Blu-Ray, Xbox and upscaling Cinema system and they all look great, solid colors and smooth motion...only thing that looks bad is my sky+, but thats probably down to my scart lead, i am upgrading to sky+ hd. I dont agree with the 1star reviews, but my xbox did look rubbish around the edges when i first plugged it in, i looked on AV forums and was advised to turn the sharpness right down...problem solved!
You wont get a better 50` unless you pay a lot more for a panosonic or pioneer full HD screen.
Well what can I say - had my TV for 3 weeks without sky HD picture is ok.With sky HD picture is fantastic wired up with a Sony cinema sound its a fantastic experience all round WOULD RECOMMEND WITH SKY HD. A+++
The guy who gave this 1 star must have something wrong with his system or set up. Picture fantastic. I dont know why people think LG is upmarket from Samsung products. LG was formerly Goldstar the cheapest brand you could get in the old days. Samsung has been around a long time and has always had good quality products.
I bought this television in September and the picture quality is brilliant. Like another reviewer - the sound is not the best but I also have it hooked up to a stereo system. Also - it looks great. Not too big or too small.
I would def say it was a good buy. I wouldnt hesitate to buy any of Samsungs teles after this one. I reckon the other person just got a faulty item that slipped through quality control.
I bought this tv a week ago as an upgrade from my 42` LG and wow the picture is awfull in comparison, both the same resolution too, movement is terrible and all is grainy, even Planet Earth blu-ray looked bad. At first i though it was because of the larger screen size to what i was used too so i sat further away to give it a chance but no its rubbish. Im sending it back on monday and will now be stuck on what to go for.
Sorry I just cant agree with a certain other review on here; the picture quality on mine is excellent especially when watching Sky HD, but more to the point SD channels/DVDs etc look brilliant as well & youd have to have the brain of a plebiscite not to be able to adjust the myriad of settings to your own taste! The ONLY complaint I could throw at this set is sound quality but as I have the sound running through my Sammy HT-TZ315R thats not really a problem. TOP TV :-)
