Being a fairly recent PS2 owner, this was the first game to totally consume me, to the detrement of food, sleep, and personal hygiene. As sad as it sounds, it left me looking around for potential trick lines, even while out shopping. The pace of the game is just right, gently easing you through the tutorial, and gradually cranking up the difficulty. Each level is huge, and the tricks pleasingly non-linear. New levels are unlocked way before youve had a chance to get bored, and contain keys to unlock new vast areas in previous levels. When you do go back, the tricks that seemed so hard the first time are now comparatively simple. The control system is intuitive, once youve mastered the jump-trick-land-manual combination. Your skater goes when you press Go, and doesnt constantly motor you around unless you hold the Brake button all the time like Tony Hawks. Far more sensible. Im going to be very disappointed if there isnt an online Aggressive Inline 2 sometime soon.

From the first tutorial level, which shows you all you need to know to be able to play the game, to the last museum level this game is ace. Some of the challenges are difficult but its good fun trying to crack them. Awesome graphics and a brilliant soundtrack (featuring the amazing Reel Big Fish) just add to the appeal.
