grand theft auto `vice city` wasnt a game to me...it was a living,breathing, city i actually lived in..i thought GTA3 was excellent,(still do) but this is just stunning...when i 1st bought this game in winter 2002 i didnt realise at the time what i`d just bought...for me it was another chapter on the ladder to gaming perfcetion,pac-man on the atari in the 80s, street fighter 2 and mario world on the super nintendo in the 90s,and now this...
if GTA3 was great,it had some slight flaws,based in liberty city,it was a dull,almost depressing grey city,there was lots to do and explore but vice city was just on another scale.from the very start when i was driving to my new `digs` it was a colourful buzzing city with a seafront view from my room window!!..the missions where great (some are difficult enough to pass) and their variaty was impressive,you can drive motorbikes,jump onto a jetski and hit the high seas all in GTA vice city (which u couldnt do in GTA3) and now if you earn,(or steal and rob!) your money you actually can do something with it,as there is various premises you can buy,which lead of course to various missons on them...throughout the game the more missions and businesses you do and buy naturally the more you earn.even when i had completed this game the money was still rolling in.
if you get bored at any stage (which i would doubt!!) during the game there is still lots you can do to entertain yourself and get u into bother!!.. the choice of differnt weaponary is excellent,and shooting and fighting off the cops is truly great!!...
all in all this is a really fantastic game and is a MUST for anybody that owns a PS2..

10 out of 10... :)
