| TOSHIBA | 14N21BS | I bought one these years ago (£99.99) for my spare-room/studio to use with my game consoles. It`s lasted longer than two LCD TVs! | | Mike | 05/02/2008 10:52:00 |

| PHILIPS | 14PT2666 | A quality portable tv with a great sound and picture. The built in radio is a great bonus too with a remarkable stereo sound. | | Kate | 25/08/2003 09:19:42 |

| THOMSON | SUGAR 2 | Excellent picture quality, good features including a scart socket, video / audio inputs on the front. Complete with teletext. Very compact size. Good value for money. overall excellent. | | Thomson Sugar2 | 06/07/2003 20:58:09 |

| GRUNDIG | P39 3010 | Best value I know. Very sharp picture with its pure flat screen,2 scart sockets, front AV inputs + headphone. For a 15" tube the unit is compact & smart looking. Also has fastext.I bought this tv for particular use with my xbox and with using the advanced scart lead the picture/sound quality is superb. The video game picture stays central on screen unlike my sony 14" tv which I have now passed on to my son.
Overall an excellent performer which I highly recommend | | JES Cheltenham | 16/02/2003 16:13:44 |

| GRUNDIG | P39 3010 | I bought this TV and am impressed with the picture quality and the fact that this small (larger than normal) portable has 2 yes TWO scart sockets!
The set is quite small compared to some 14" tv's and its 15" pure flat tube has cut out the glare I used to get on my old portable. The remote is a bit basic looking but for the price you can't go wrong.
It looks nicer than the other 15" flat screens on sale... go and buy one! | | Jay | 20/12/2002 16:17:49 |

| Roadstar | 5014 | I just bought this small LCD for the world cup. I think the picture quality is very good for the price!
Saddly, batteries are not included, and you may have to spend a lot of money on rechargeable batteries. I did not get to test the battery life yet, but since it requires 10 (that`s right, 10) AA batteries (NI-MH recommended), it should last a few hours (this is really a shot in the dark, as I`ve said I do not have enough money right now to buy 10 Ni-MH batteries).
It includes a cigar lighter adaptator, so it`s a good buy.
I would definitally recommend this to anyone who is on the go and wants to watch the world cup! | | Florian | 17/06/2006 08:59:27 |

| FERGUSON | M51131R Silver | Nice design, screen fairly curved though (this ain't no Sony FST!!). good compatibility with games consoles, front A/V and stereo headphone out useful for surround sound & camcorders. Crisp, undistorted picture, especially in 60Hz mode (better than my £400 Panasonic!).
Sound is limp - a single 4 Watt speaker only goes so far.....best hook it up to something meatier via the headphone-out socket. Quality of construction a little lacking - plastic feel, remote control is poor. RF, scart & A/V sockets are firmly connected to the chassis, though. OSD and other features are good and simple to access/alter.
To summarize, good value for money, especially as the equivalent Philips or Sony would be twice the price. Difficult to find 19/20/21 inch TV's these days - nice mid size as 14" are too small and 24" too big. good connectability and flexibility. A good "beater" TV at a great price. | | BillyJeanIsNotMyLover | 03/01/2003 19:23:27 |

| BUSH | 14971TV (Silver) | I have used my Bush internet.tv for 1yr. It is excellent value for money (cost me £98 at Argos, it's now even cheaper, where obtaianable).
It must be remembered, it is NOT a computer, so has some limitations, but if E.mails and the internet are the only interests it is about 90% efficient. It will not open attachments or java and a few other scripts, but it's still good fun and hey, you can pay this sort of cash just for a 14 inch T.V. | | mal.macneil | 13/08/2002 09:53:14 |

| PHILIPS | 17PT1666 | I bought a used Philips 17PT1666 recently and have also found discolouration on a bright white screen. It improves if the contrast control is turned down. I think that the effect is caused by shadow mask distortion at high beam currents. The defect is tolerable and the set is well worth the ten pounds that I paid for it. | | Chris | 19/02/2008 17:54:45 |

|
| GOODMANS | K1405T | Excellent tv. Really good for the price. Only problem is that you have to have the remote to tune it in. Hence after a move, I can`t find the remote, so tv no good till I get a replacement one. But TV itself well worth buying. | | eliyza1 | 06/12/2006 07:20:27 |

|
| GOODMANS | GTV34T7SIL | I have just moved house and the TV seems unable to find any signal at all in my new location. In my old house it was fine and i would have been pleased to write a glowing review, but this problem means that i cant watch TV at all, so now i have mixed feelings about it. | | Jessica | 22/09/2006 11:41:42 |

| AIWA | TV21MT11 | picture is crystal clear and is easy to set-up the downside is sound mono which i think should have been done in stereo | | jannette | 02/04/2004 09:17:36 |
| |
|
| SAMSUNG | CZ21A083N | Better than expected sound quality. Picture 'sags' at bottom slightly when there are 'black bars' top and bottom. Awkward to tune as done in MHz rather than channels. Flat top of case too narrow to accomodate STB. Only one scart with side phono's which take priority. | | nordsee220 | 16/12/2003 19:08:01 |

|
| CASIO | EV550 | Although the tft screen is a vast improvement over my old citizen lcd tv, the 2.5" screen is not good enough to watch sports like tennis - or worse still - golf without terrible eye strain after a few minutes. | | TV Addict | 02/08/2002 09:54:51 |

| BEKO | 14272TDS Silver | Power on switch gone faulty after less than 3 years. Same problem with previous set but got it replaced under warrenty. | | disappointed owner | 22/10/2007 14:35:36 |

| BUSH | 1438 Silver | I wouldn't recommend buying this tv as you can't find replacement remotes for them without a lot of expense. | | Owner of several useless remotes | 19/02/2003 19:04:15 |

|
| Decca | D14RKG5 | Buttons broke as soon as i got it and now the set has failed, the repair cost more than the actual price of the tv. | | K. Hale | 14/10/2002 17:28:07 |
| |
|
| PHILIPS | 17PT1666 | Good picture, reasonably easy to set up. But whatever you do, don't lose the remote control, especially when the thing's in radio mode; you cannot switch it back to TV mode without the Philips remote - no aftermarket remote I can find is able to control that function. | | Mark | 07/10/2002 18:59:40 |

|
| SONY | KV-14LT1U | I had 2 of those and both were defected with the tube which had to be replaced. it didn`t cost me anything as it was under guarantee. that`s why this model was replaced with another. just because of it doesn`t have not to trust sony! | | uk shopper | 06/01/2006 12:23:28 |

|
| PANASONIC | TXG10 | Bought this model brand new 2 years ago but now the tuner has packed up. Only direct inputs work now ( scart etc ) | | Steevee | 31/01/2003 15:14:24 |

|
| GOODMANS | C530 | I have owned this particular TV for about 18 months. If your thinking of purchasing then don't bother. When the unit goes wrong - and it will, very expensive to repair. Most TV engineers will write it off straight away because of its size and the associated expense of replacement parts. | | A Goodmans Jonah | 22/01/2003 18:11:06 |
| |
|
| PHILIPS | 17PT1666 | I've now had 4 different 17PT1666's - two from Comet & two from John Lewis. Each has the same fault - discolouration occuring - parts of the screen going yellow/blue after it has displayed lots of white. Effect can be seen by going to ITV text p250 and leaving it for 5 minutes.
Not sure what to do now as I really want this model as it's one of the few 17" sets around & everything else about it is good... | | Michael | 09/10/2002 17:39:45 |

|
| Alba | CTV3485SIL | I recomend that you DO NOT purchase this product as it is useless and unreliable. It breaks constamtly at least once a week and i am constantly complaining to the company however they don`t seem to be interested. So don`t buy this as you will regret it. | | advice | 13/01/2007 18:53:44 |

| Pace | DTVA-UK | Straightforward, TV connection OK. Connecting to video more complex. Extra RF connection leads and Rf 'splitter' not provided.
Splitting the signal can mean that you may have problems getting analog or digital, or both. Then the retailer will tell you that the signal is not strong enough, that you require another aerial :-( I'm impressed with the functionality (if a bit fiddly at first!) but still have to mess about with connections at rear if I want to video any analog channel (unable to video digital). I did ask the retailer if/when PACE would be producing their £25 unit. They couldn't say.
I went back to the retailer and complained that all reasonable means of connection was impossible at present. They gave me a hard time saying it worked OK with TV. Eventually they relented and supplied 'free' RF lead and splitter. If you stand your ground you may be lucky too. | | CPeter | 19/11/2002 16:53:05 |
