George Foreman13184well i was lookin for a grill for a while now but did not know which one to get so i went for the 13184 make, as soon as it arrived i opened it and used it to grill some sausages and was amazed at the amount of fat that came out of them and the food was cooked to perfection even without a timer it was easy to use as the handbook gives u cooking times for different things. overall i am very pleased with my purchase and would advice anyone lookin to buy one to try it out and yes it is big but is good value for money also u can cook your whole meal in one go as it has so much space inside it, iv had no problem with it at all and love my new grill.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer22/01/2009 01:01:01

BREVILLETR40I bought this after buying a sandwich toaster which did indeed toast sandwiches BUT left such a mess & took ages to clean, it was full of nooks & crannies which filled with melted cheese & we couldnt get out, but bought the breville sandwich press after reviews which remarked it was so easy to clean so I thought I would give it a go; It is fabulous, easy to use, brilliant to clean, can be left out on worktop for quick use as it looks the bees knees too! Such a brilliant product, you can do so much more than toasted sandwiches in it too. good value for money, cleans superbly & looks good;5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer10/01/2009 01:01:01

George Foreman11761We are very pleased with our new grilling machine. It has a large enough space for cooking the whole breakfast (apart from the tinned tomatoes), even the fried egg cooks well. It takes up quite a lot of space but is well worth it if you have the room available. Its also easy to clean, which is always a bonus.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer01/01/2009 01:01:01

George Foreman10099 SILVERIve had this model of Health Grill around 6 years now and not had one problem or fault in this entire time. In fact, I dread to think of how much saturated fat has rolled down off the slope into the drip tray in that time!! So impressed have I been that Im going to get a second one and give this old one to my Dad who seems to be on the verge of being ready to leave traditional grilling and enter the world of Health Grilling. I think Mum will appreciate his enthusiasm to contribute to kitchen life with his newly acquired Health Grill........his heart also, I think!! The simple to use timer and tempurature adjuster are in my opinion really quite helpful, even though not all models have them. Cleaning isnt a problem with a little soapy water and non-scratch scourer (or the specially designed George Foreman grooved scourers available here on Amazon for £2.98). Personally, I try to clean while the surface is still a little warm - but obeviously not so I risk burning myself!! Oh, and just to address the issue of hot fat in the drip tray, add a little water to help solidify the fat more rapidly. Then the water can soon be poured out and the tray cleaned. All round, this is a truly excellent Health Grill.....and I would honestly recommend it to anyone. (Btw, always be sure that you buy a size of grill which will meet your needs.)5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer25/11/2008 01:01:01

Russell Hobbs10810Never had one of these before and i was not disappointed. Very simple to use and it really does work a treat. Looks brilliant too. Only downside i found was it didnt have a on/off button so has to be turned of at the mains. 5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer16/10/2008 01:01:01

cookworksWhite 4 Slice Sandwich ToasterI bought this item a few days ago and to be honest did not ecpect too much for the price, I was pleasantly surprised, the sandwiches are crispy with well cooked fillings and lifted easily out of the toaster. They were properly sealed round the edges which made the toaster easy to clean, no leaking burnt on fillings. I would recommend this sandwich toaster if you are looking for a 4 slice model for less than the price of some 2 slice models 5 out of 5Susan Sheppard07/09/2008 10:01:54

George Foreman13184Every review for this product tells you its big, but not HOW big, search on-line and somewhere you might actually find the dimensions, but when youre listening to the people on this site youll be thinking, maybe theyre exaggerating....THEYRE NOT. You might even be thinking, How big could it be?, its BIG. But even if you do know the dimensions its not a simple case of ensuring you have enough space to contain the grill, when you have the grill closed, the handle overhangs the bottom of the grill by 12cm, and when you open it, the lid overhangs the back by an extra 4cm, so if you dont want the handle poking out over the edge of any worksurfaces and you want the lid to open onobstructed youll need more space. However, if you simply want to be able to open the grill unobstructed whilst the feet of the grill sit safely on a worksurface and you dont mind the handle poking out over the edge of the worksurface then youll need a little less space, although not much less as you still have to accomodate the drip tray which stands independently in front of the grill, and obviosuly it wouldnt be particularly safe, especially if you have kids. (D)=Depth (W)=width (h)=height (D)x44cm (w)x50cm (h)x15cm - With the lid closed (D)x42cm (w)x50cm (h)x44cm - With the lid open (D)x54cm (w)x50cm (h)x44cm - With grill physically unobstructed (D)x49cm (w)x50cm (h)x44cm - With handle sticking out from worksurface Last thing you have to consider space-wise is this thing gets HOT, so having a space exactly the sizes mentioned above will probably end up in you burning down your house or at least causing heat damage to whatever surrounds it. (D)x55cm (w)x70cm (h)x80cm - For safe practical, totally unobstructed use Right, so how good is it, its very good, and quick too, the grilling surface measures 47cm x 24cm and the amount of grease that drips into the tray is unbelievable, first thing I cooked was 8 quarter pounders, they cooked in about 10 minutes and despite the amount of grease that dripped off of them they were still very succulent, which I find often isnt the case with an oven. It can cook foods up to 3cm thick which covers most Chicken Breasts, it cooks from thawed as well as frozen and like I said its lightning fast and probably doesnt use up anywhere near as much energy as an oven, so its a money saver and more environmentally friendly. My only gripe is that the grill is supposed to cook things evenly, but unfortunately the majority of the pressure when the lid is closed is put on the front of the grill causing anything you cook at the front to cook faster than the things at the back. Ive not tried it yet, but I should imagine if youre cooking two thicknesses of food, if you put the thicker ones at the back they should cook at the same speed as those at the front due to the pressure being placed on the thicker items first.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer17/08/2008 01:01:01

KENWOODTTM404I bought one of these toasters locally as they where reduced to half price, my old toaster was needing retiring as it was burning even on the lowest settings, The Kenwood was the best toaster I could buy for my money. First couple of days with there being a few buttons on the front I could not get my toast to brown,, then I realised, those buttons,, one was for defrosting, the other was for reheat, the key to getting perfect toast from your Kenwood is just put the dial to the setting you want and then simply press down the black button(s) for 2 or 4 slices if required. Besides toasting bread, I have successfully toasted bagles, crumpets and bread-cakes. The more I have used my new toaster the happier I am with it. It toasts brilliantly. With this toaster it is a case of learning the individual buttons and then you are going to be making perfect toast! Get that jam, marmalade, honey or what ever your favourite spread is and get toasting and most of all! ENJOY..... Lynn-Marie 5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer13/08/2008 01:01:01

George Foreman12205PERFECT. I had a Foreman for 3 years prior to this one. I changed it so that I could take the grills off to wash them. I read some of the comments made by people who were not happy and I was alittle concerned about purchasing this item. However, I did and I used it for the first time today. What can I say, it heated up fast and it cooked the steak perfect and the vegs too. I dont know what the other people wanted but dont listen to them. THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY.....PERFECT ITEM.....PERFECT COOKING....GREAT TIMING.....EASY CLEANING. 150% Happy with this item. 5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer06/08/2008 01:01:01

George Foreman13184I ordered one of these in a bid to cut down the amount of fat in our food, for quickness and for the amount it will cook in one go. This grill is huge. You need a good space to use it in, so before you order one, make sure you have plenty of work surface to use it on. It will easily hold and cook up to 9 chicken breats at a time if not more and I have used it for barbecues and cooked 10 quarter pounders at once and loads of sausages. If you dont like the traditional barbecue over a flame this is a great alternative, as it is quick and you dont have to mess around with charcoal and flames. As it is on a fine tilt, any fat drips down onto the drip tray (2 are provided) and it removes loads. I was amazed at just how much fat can still drip out of a lean piece of chicken breast! Everything tastes great when it isnt dripping with grease too! I like to use the grill for its quickness too. When switched on it takes a couple of minutes for the grill plates to heat up, indicated by a little red light, which switches off when it is ready. Then you add your food too the bottom plate and close the lid down again, on average it takes about 5 - 10 minutes to cook a chicken breast, be that 1 or 9 at once! Although it cooks without turning, I usually do turn half way through cooking for an even finish (I do this because the bottom plate has ridges). So within minutes your meat is cooked and ready for serving however you choose! The lid is loosely fitted to accomodate thicker slices of meat, so it will easily raise or lower to the meat, depending on how thick your meat is or if you are grilling oddly shaped vegetables, which you can also grill on this. I was sorry to read the 1 star review, as I have bought 2 of these myself, one for my family and one as a gift and we have never had a problem with either of them. So it is possible that was a one off and just a problem with that one, which can happen with anything, unfortunately for that buyer it was their grill. My mother also has a smaller George Forman grill and has never experienced any problems with that either. 5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer27/05/2008 01:01:01

BREVILLETR46This product is dangerous. The heater plates have little projecting `ears` which stick out at the back and if they come into contact with the mains cable they can burn through and blow the fuse. Mine did, and I had noted the potential hazard and was being careful. I`m taking it back. 1 out of 5unimpressed30/05/2008 12:22:09

BREVILLETR13S DAISYSuperb little gadget! Easy to use, simple to clean. Remember to brush with a little Olive oil first and go easy on the cheese and you"re away! PHILIPSHD2420This grill is fantastic in that it is much easier to clean than the popular "George Foreman-" the plates can go in the dishwasher! It takes up less storage space than if I were to own all three appliances, so we have it easily accessible in the kitchen and use it more often. Great product. 5 out of 5California02/04/2004 09:17:35

BUSHTS281Appears to have a major design fault. Because of the shape of the plates - one edge is rounded - it`s very difficult to get bread to fit properly, so the cheese leaks out. Once it`s leaked it can get in under the removable plates and from there under the plate with the heating elements making the toaster short circuit spectacularly with a loud bang. BREVILLEHealth GrillThis product has a design fault, the fat drains off through a hole in the grill - when I cooked something quite fatty in it, the fat overflowed and destroyed the machine. Apart from that its very good! 1 out of 5Alan10/05/2005 06:34:14

BREVILLEHG11I wonder if the item I have bought has at fault? I"ve tried Steak, Gammon and Duck breast, following all instructions. The food is cooked OK but the smoke and smell are unbearable, it"s as though this is for outside use only. Certainly I shall be in contact with Breville ( their web site is being upgraded just now!!!) I would not recommend this particular item. 1 out of 5E.Taylor20/08/2004 17:12:21

DELONGHICGS153I picked this up in Kwiksave for #25, less the usual penny. It was an impulse buy that I regret. A large central "pit" that is intended to collect excess fat renders the grilling surface almost useless. It lacks a mains switch and the timer can be wound up, but not down. Wind it too far and you must resort to timing things yourself. In short, it"s poorly designed, poorly made and not worth even the low price that I paid. 1 out of 5Bert08/06/2004 07:53:44
