I know you cant get aggressive skates that youre going to want to keep for £30, so my expectations werent high. Ive not skated for about 10 years so buying these was just a way to test the water before committing to paying for a decent pair. For that, theyre ok. Ill start with the good points: the wheels and barings are good, although the frames say theyre ABEC 5, the barings themselves are marked 7. The soul plate is usable, but not the negative side. They have given me the bug again but... as others have pointed out, youre ankles really suffer. Theres almost no flex in the cuff which is set far too narrow, the insides of my ankle get particularly sore. The liner is too thin to prevent this and replacing it would cost more than the skates, which are also very heavy. So approach these with caution, if you can spend more on a pair you can keep, then thats what Id advise.

Good release/tighten mechanism, quick for taking on and off.
No brakes, but you just need to learn to balance more and turn harder! fabric inside is not very durable, recommend thick socks! much fun tho although i will be paying more next time for a better pair!
Overall not bad for the cash.

I used these skates for 2-3 hours and they made a right mess of my ankles! They do not have enough ankle padding or support. My ankles are now red raw and one has a nasty blister. Dispite this i then started to use my brothers more expensive skates with absoulotly no trouble. DO NOT buy these if you are serious about skating it is worth spending a little more for comfort. I cant see these being any use to anybody. NOW IM STUCK WITH THEM! Ill try and post a pic of my ankle.

These skates are extremely good value for money. They support my ankles very well and though they are quite heavy (like most agressives) this doesnt stop me skating away to my hearts content.
There have been a couple of comments pointing out that these skates have no brakes. It is worth pointing out the normally agressive skates do NOT have brakes. Look for recreational inline skates if you must have brakes.

These are fantastic skates for Experienced Skaters, this is somewhat understated in the description. They are very good quality and much adored by my son, however, with not having any brakes etc it wasnt suitable for him and so has to be returned. I cannot stress enough though, beware.... NO BRAKES - But great skates..!

These are great skates for the price but BEWARE they do NOT have detachable heel brakes or mountings for any on the skates themselves despite what the item description says. As such weve had to return them as that was the main reason for choosing them for my son! A great shame as they were well-made and looked the part, too.
