| POLTI | 2400 | I have had my polti since 2000 and I am more than happy with it. I use it for cleaning and refreshing carpets, defrosting the freezer, cleanng the cooker , windows, cleaning the inside of the car (seats windows and dash) microwave, conservatory and much more. when I bought mine I got a free iron and have found this so useful as I iron at least twice a week. its expensive and very well made with many uses and I would not like to be without mine and would not hesitate if it needed to be replaced. | | Pearl Essex | 11/06/2007 09:28:45 |

| POLTI | 2400 | I use this mainly for cleaning carpets. It is a very good product and easy to use. It may be expensive, but I have tried cheaper steamers and they are not worth the effort. This is money well spent. | | J. M .G. South Wales | 12/01/2004 14:52:25 |

| KARCHER | K1105 | Every home should have one of these pressurised steam cleaners. It is brilliant around the home for cleaning. It brings carpets up lovely. The best bit about it for me is the iron. I have never managed to complete my ironing so quickly and it is that good that you only need iron one side. Absolutely worth every penny. | | Chris | 07/05/2003 14:42:53 |

| ELECTROLUX | Envirosteamer Z350A. | This little teapot sized steamer is fantasic.
A great cleaning machine for its size, good on tiles, grout, windows etc. Not so good on fridge door seals, you have to clean them at least three times, but still very good, like it a lot. | | Fantastic | 03/10/2002 10:00:15 |

| ELECTROLUX | Envirosteamer Z350A. | Very efficient I love it. The downside is you cannot buy any spares for this steamer. I have lost the angled nozzle which was great for cleaning under the rim of the toilet. So for this reason 4 out of 5. | | Disappointed | 25/06/2007 15:36:43 |

| MORPHY RICHARDS | 70501 | I purchased a Grime Buster in April this year, and I use it all the time.I have the ironing accesory, and get through the ironing in half the time. The attachment for upholstery works really well,as it removed face paints (following a children"s party) from my cream fabric sofa.I steam clean my carpets, floors, toilets(brilliant around the hinges of the toilet seat)etc. I have not used it on the car yet.I don"t worry about spillages, because the steamer removes them. The only down side for me,is that you have to wait a while before you can refill it.I still wouldn"t be without it. | | Janette | 08/06/2004 07:53:40 |

| ELECTROLUX | Envirosteamer 370A | Elegant design and easy to use.
The manual is short to digest, but possibly too short for a new user to this type of product. I could smell the cleanness of the house. I even use it to clean the carpet, though it was a time consuming task. | | DL | 12/09/2002 17:21:53 |

| HOME-TEK | HT882S | This is the kind of product that you use continually for the first two days and then languishes in the cupboard under the stairs for the next couple of months. I had one of these and while it was working, I thought it was reasonably good. Unfortunately about the sixth time that I used it (which was outside the 1 year guarantee); it stopped working (no steam). I had stored it correctly between uses making sure the water chamber was empty and leaving it to air with the filler cap off while it was packed away. It seems rather expensive if you only get to use it six times. I would not recommend it, due to its poor reliability. | | Pete | 20/12/2007 13:04:12 |

| MORPHY RICHARDS | Grimebuster 2200W | After only about 10 times of use ,a tiny piece of internal plastic has broken, not through misuse renders the machine unusable and unrepairable - beware | | Kay Courts | 02/12/2004 13:41:19 |

|
| MORPHY RICHARDS | 70501 | I have recently purchased and used one of these "grime busters" and to be honest all I can recommend is dont bother, all it seems to remove is grime that could easily be wiped of with a damp cloth anyway, any limescale or ingrained grime takes so much time to remove and all you seem to get is a room full of steam. I have not tried it outside on car engines or wheels etc but I got it to mainly clean taps, showers etc, I suppose there is a possibility mine is faulty but it all seems to work as it should (apart from the handle trigger sticking and a nozzle falling out!) steam cleaner I would suggest you try one of the other available models or hire one first to see if its worth bothering, hope some of this helps, cheers, ted. | | shropshire ted | 23/12/2003 10:24:43 |

| Unbranded | Penguin Steam Cleaner | Glad I found this site instead of wasting more time trying to get mine to work again. Same thing: lights on, feels hot, nothing happening. Penguin should have to recall the item and refund everyone`s money! | | KT | 16/06/2009 14:43:46 |

|
| SIMAC | PVT2050 | I have had this steam cleaner for several years and am about to replace it with the same model. One of the best things about it is being able to top it up without switching off and waiting for it to heat up again, that`s what I had to do with my last model and it put me off using it. Easy to use makes a great job of cleaning and leaves the room smelling fresh with no added chmical cleaners I also have the iron attachment and find it makes a great job of ironing. | | ayeliz | 07/04/2009 08:28:00 |

| ELECTROLUX | Envirosteamer 370A | Having this steamer for 16months and genuinely used 3 times it`s now completely packed up, the manufacturer agreed in fairness to let us take it to a repair shop the report back said they did not know the reason it could be the thermostat or they are known to build up of calcium and to get back to the manufacturer where upon we were offered another one (more up dated one at the grand price of £39-99) Mrs PA Jenkins | | mrs pa jenkins | 27/05/2007 08:28:34 |

| Hometek | HT881 | i own this product and it is the worst steam cleaner ever, you get very short bursts of steam that are no long enough to clean anything, this is more novelty than useful | | bennie | 05/11/2004 10:31:45 |

|
| ELECTROLUX | Z382A | The fundamental problem with this cleaner is the operating handle ,which requires you to place constant pressure with your thumb in order to produce the steam. The product in itself is fine and does all that is required of it but this design fault makes it arduous to use.
I would not recommend it to any one ,my last cleaner had a squeeze trigger which is much more user friendly. | | DebR | 17/02/2003 12:53:58 |

| Unbranded | Penguin Steam Cleaner | The Penguin is RUBBISH. Our experience is exactly the same as the other reviewers. It worked OK initially but after a couple of months rest it refused to function. The lights come on, the motor makes a noise as if it is operating and the element heats up......but nothing happens when the trigger is pressed. It is impossible to do anything with it because the tank is secured by mastic and even when all the screws holding the two halves of the penguin are removed, it can`t be dismantled. I wish I had seen this site before making the purchase, but the only thing to do now is throw it in the dustbin and put it down to experience. | | Foolish Purchaser. | 11/02/2009 06:45:35 |

| Pro Action | DD310STG | ProAction Hand-Held Steam Gun. I bought this product from Argos and I can review it in one word. Useless! Why? To get the gun to steam at all (which is intermittent because the thermostat keeps cutting out and you have to keep waiting for the wreched thing to heat again) you`ll need a vice-like grip. The thumb-down-action trigger is quite stiff and you need to pump it continuously to get it to work at all. I guarantee you`ll get thumb cramp very quickly. This gun really is rubbish. I wouldn`t recommended it all. Mine`s going straight back to Argos for a full refund. | | Patrick Smith, | 03/07/2007 09:05:17 |
