JessopsAstronomical Telescope 1100-102V Happy with this product, I`m not an astronomy pro but it`s fantastic value for money as far as I`m concerned. I`ve had a look at the moon, jupiter and moons, the orion nebula and andromeda galaxy. I have also had the telescope for a couple of years and it`s still going strong. :)0 out of 5Sam12/01/2012

CelestronPowerseeker 675this telescope is really good but if you can`t find nothing at night what you have to do is at daytime tkan it outside focus the telescope on a object such as a block of flat or a house in the distance make sure you can see it with your eyepiece (USE THE WEAKEST LENSE WHICH IS K20) then line up the laser with the object your seeing and then at night look at big objects in the sky like the moon for a couple of night and try to focus it in and you`ll see every crater on the moon literally this is just to get you used to it then try to focus one stars with the eyepiece SR4 and focus it and then planets such as venus of mars or jupiter and download or but a sky map to help you but it is a brilliant telescope for a begginer0 out of 5Patrick05/01/2012

EDU ScienceStar-Gazer 70 TelescopeThis scope is absolute junk. It is so flimsy and wobbly that it will entirely discourage and disappoint any child that tries to use it. I wouldn`t recommend this if it only cost £10. It actually costs £50 which is far, far too much. It would be £50 wasted. There are much better options at this price - a good pair of binoculars for instance. If you want to buy your child a telescope spend a little more - around £90 will get you a nice telescope. Check out Skywatcher scopes for instance.0 out of 5Jz29/12/2011

MeadeStarlight 80 plus TorchThis telescope gives crisp clear views.I have owned other 80mm scopes, one being the etx 80 and this scope easily compares. For its price I would definately recommend this telescope to a beginner or even amateur astronomer. Its a good quality built telescope that will last for many years.0 out of 5paul crossland07/09/2011

JessopsAstronomical Telescope 1100-102As a beginner, I found this a good introduction to amateur astronomy. However the collimation was a bit out, and so I bought a collimator and adjusted it - much improved! I found little use for the multiplier lens, the maximum magnification eyepiece is probably about the limit for this scope. I saw the moons and bands of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn, also many hours of looking at the Moon. 0 out of 5Tim12/07/2011

JessopsAstronomical Telescope 1100-102Great starter telescope for those on a budget. Eyepieces are (obviously) not the greatest, however, it is much better than 70mm reflectors which can cost £100+. I have had some great views of the moon as well as a good enough view of Jupiter to see cloudlines and its moons. 0 out of 5Drew Dilger15/09/2010

SkywatcherInfinity-76 DeluxeSuperb piece of kit. Light, robust, easy to use. Definitely much more than a toy. Great to use as spotting scope as well as for astronomy. Note that it only comes with the x30 erecting eyepiece - others have to ordered as accessories. 5 out of 5Rocket Ron30/06/2008 08:15:26

HeliosStarluxA good telescope for the moon and other large planets. Downside is it uses mirrors, so you get the view backwards. Still an excellent buy. Get this thing!4 out of 5Alex Bellis-Brown08/08/2003 22:40:38

HeliosStarluxAn excellent telescope, gives clear sharp images. Can see the bands on jupiter, the rings of saturn and the orion nebula. Its also very small and compact, but don't be fooled by its size. Its well built and can take a pounding or two.

Overall I give it a 4 because you need a table to rest it on.

SkywatcherExplorer 130MYou have to know what you`re doing - very fiddly. If you`re a beginner be prepared for a steep learning curve. Better starting with a Meade refractor with GOTO function unless you`re ready to get to grips with a tricky scope... 3 out of 5Scotmonk31/10/2005 07:42:12

BUSHNELLDeep Space Reflector Telescope 525x3Its rubbish lads. No fine tuning adjustment, very wobbily...when you try to focus you end up pushing it off your view. Good for the moon, but not much else. 2 out of 5Brian21/02/2006 12:38:43

BUSHNELLDeep Space Reflector Telescope 525x3Brian is absolutely right. I got this scope as a gift about 3 years ago and it`s been in mothballs ever since. The `fine tuning` adjustment may as well not be there - my 7 yr old could have designed better. Touch the scope even lightly and it moves - useless for stars and not good for planets. It does give some good views of the moon, but that`s it. Furthermore Bushnell weren`t interested in talking to me about it. In short, a complete waste of money! 1 out of 5Martin11/04/2009 08:51:10

TascoStarguide 114I stupidly purchased this product from The "Earth and Space" shop in Bluewater. I should have checked here as they charged £499 for the product. 25% extra is a total rip-off. I shall take pages of the Argos advert and hand them out, outside the shop every evening until xmas if he does not wish to do anything about this issue. :(

As for the product. It has been bought as a present and have not yet tested it.
