| RC2 | First Years 3 in 1 Toilet Training | I thought this potty was going to answer my prayers, until I tried to use it for the first time the other day as a removable seat for our toilet. In my opinion it is either dangerous in general on all toilet seats or on certain types of toilets. All of ours are brand new so I dont know what the problem is except that there is no secure catch for it to remain in place while your child is seated there. T The other day I let my daughter try it out. She sat on it properly, but being a curious and cautious 2 year old was looking to find it secure, and she edged forward to find that stability. As soon as she did so, the whole seat would have fallen off the toilet seat with her if I had not caught her. She didn`t want to go back on it understandably. I have another toliet seat which I will now use instead, it gets trapped between the actual toilet and its seat when put in position and she feels much safer on it. Although there a no handles on this one , she is clearly happier. I will use the First Years one as a potty if she ever wants to but definitely not as a removable toddler toilet seat. First Years, the company, need to review the safety aspects of this potty, I am really disappointed in it. May 2007 | | Mrs M Luong | 29/05/2007 08:11:07 |
