SONYPSLX250HThe sony pslx250h is basically a fantastic turntable. Outstanding sound quality, great value for money and good features make this a smashing peice of equipment from sony. however not is all good as i felt i was let down by the construction of the product = the turntable is very lightweight, and made from mainly cheap plastic! Also when the arm is moving around it seems very loud and mechanical noises can be heard. Also the arm is very lightweight and often skips! On the other hand, it is manufactured from sony so you can expect it to last a good few years at least. The sound is remarkable and crystal clear and i really enjoy listening to my vinyl on this masterpiece! It`s looks are great, it`s very stylish and a good size. The diamond stylus is great and produces excellent reproduction, and is replaceale for around 20 quid which is good. It has a built in preamp which can be turned off depending on your connection. Has red and white aux sockets to connect to cd player etc. So overall a very good turntable. Highly Recommended! 5 out of 5matthew16/05/2006 10:01:17

BUSHMTT1 SilverA great deck for the money, and the built in pre-amp means you can connect it directly to the line-in of a PC to record your vinyl collection without the need for extra hardware. Plays 45 & 33rpm (12" LP's stick out of side of deck due to it's compact size!).

It's worth noting that a replacement stylus costs around £17.

Overall a good, straightforward piece of kit which provides good sound reproduction. Buy it and relive your vinyl youth!

BUSHMTT1For the Price unbeatable. I went to the store and tested various turntables from other manufacturers including Sony but this one had the most toe tapping sound and the price left me with enough money to buy some records to enjoy it with.5 out of 5Brian27/01/2003 09:43:10

BUSHMTT1This turntable is without doubt the ideal solution for those of us who bought much of our music collection in the pre or early CD days.

Got albums and 12" records you want to transfer to CD? - No problem. Connect this turntable to the line-in port of you computers soundcard, and you can record and transfer them to CD using any of the cheap software programs that abound.

The beauty of this turntable is the fact that it comes with a pre-amplifier already built in, and uses two simple phone jacks to connect.

Go on, you know you want too!

TECHNICSSLBD22DI picked one of these turntables up as an end of line managers special in Currys a couple of years ago. I got it for a song (no pun intended) but one problem was it came with no cables. Not a big deal I thought but this particular turntable uses a proprietary ground cable. So unless you`re handy with a soldering iron (which I am, luckily) make sure you get one. Getting back to the point... It`s a fine little turntable. A little light but I haven`t had any huge problems with vibration. Sound quality (through a Pro-Ject phono stage) is very good for a budget turntable. It`s a semi-automatic with the rare (in budget models) ability to switch between 33 and 45 RPM without faffing about moving drive belts. The entire thing is pretty-much idiot proof as it comes with the arm already setup and new cartridges just plug into the end of it. No weights to set up or small screws to lose. All in all I`d recommend it as a good place to start if you`re new to the whole vinyl thing. 4 out of 5Vek06/06/2007 18:09:34

BUSHMTT1 SilverVery straightforward to use. I also just bought it to put my vinyl on to the PC. I also got the Microsoft Plus pack which had a fillter to take all sthe `pop`s & Hiss` of the recordings and you can not now tell the diffrence from digital. The sticking out of the side is a bit odd looking but it works. 4 out of 5Ratty13/01/2007 18:52:13

HomemixTT1000DMThe homemix dj package is ideal for beginners or the younger dj, the decks have a suprisingly fair pick- up speed ane are able to take some stick! The mixer can also hold its own with its graphics & gains, for that tighter mix. If your passing through the wannabe dj stage or want a starter, this package holds its own & should"nt be laughed at! 3 out of 5gary pritchard. e.mail~ tidyboy@cwctv.net06/05/2004 12:37:14

BUSHMTT2This is a harsh and noisy turntable with much distortion. I would rate the sound average to unbearable. I often have to take the record off, it's that bad.

Frankly, its a false economy...you think you are getting hi fi equipment for a good price but all you're getting is a pseudo turntable, made of plastic , s-shaped tonearm etc.

My advice is save up your money or look on ebay instead.
