I`ll never buy anything made by Hotpoint. The recent purchase of a
Hotpoint FZA34P has broken down 5 times in less than 9 months. As the
product is under warranty the engineer has come out and replaced quite a
few parts. The company Hotpoint will not admit that there is a fault with
this model. The actual freezer unit at the back becomes clogged up with
ice (this should not happen),thus preventing the appliance perform. It is
meant to work like a frost free freezer , however it seems to thaw rathar
than freeze after a couple of months. I have spoken to Hotpoint (Mr Gavin
Linnell an exchange authoriser) about replacement, but he has refused. I
explained that once the warranty runs out which is in May 08, I will be
left with a faulty product. It will cost me more in the long run for
calling out an engineer to repair it for parts and labour. I shall be also
reporting this to trading standards, so watch out
