The Philips VR550 is an excellent budget VCR. For under £70 you get Hi-Fi
Nicam, perfect still frame and a digibox link (ideal for Philips Freeview
boxes). Be aware that the VCR doesn`t have video plus but there`s a handy
Turbo Timer feature, that allows recordings to be programmed within
seconds. Highly recommended, a stylish compact Nicam VCR from a top brand.

The machine makes too much noise, probably from the engine. I am
considering going back and changing it?
