| Unbranded | Rena Twelve Light Halogen Semi Flush Chrome Finish | yes,this is the worst lighting unit I have ever bought.I have 2 if these.One is about 2 years and the other 1 1/2 years old.The first one blew about 4 months ago and I thought maybe the fuse in the transformer unit blew but we have 2 more different lighting unit in the room so there was no problem.Last night when I was watching tv the other one popped and sizzled.The next day I checked it out just to see what was wrong.They both have transformer problem,kaput.One of them was outputting 230 volts AC instead of DC.Not only that it is shite but could also end up killing you stoned dead.Beware you have all been warned..guess what the transformer is made in china should I say anymore.. |  | not a happy camper | 28/02/2010 |

| Unbranded | Rena Twelve Light Halogen Semi Flush Chrome Finish | Bought 2 of them within the last week, and some of the glass light fittings werent the right width and wouldnt fit on - B&Q replaced the glass no question - but the assistant advised she`s had too many problems with her lights and returned them for a refund. Today i noticed the part of the light that is ceiling most (the bit with the vents in, that attatches light itself to the bracket on the ceiling)is rediculously hot - trying to touch it is like touching a bare light bulb. We are now on our third Rena within one year.
B&Q have replaced them each time with no problem.
Nice light aesthetically (hence not rated 1 below), but the transformer has blown on the last two - one fizzled, one went bang! Sticking with it for now, but......

Firstly - looked like it had already been opened when i got it home and 2 shades and a grub screw were missing. Rang the store (b&q) who said that they would give me a 1/3 off the price if i brought it back. So i did and got my #29 refunded and the store took some shades off another light fitting which fit and a gurb screw. Just had sparky round to install it and guess what. The transformers buggered. I reckon it`s one that has been returned and put back on the shelf, as as teh sparks says you can clearly see where someone has fit it up before (screw marks etc.).
