This is a good machine all round. It is very simple to use, and it is quiet too even at the 1400rpm spin.However there is a major design floor to this machine.The detergent draw is nice in design as its not the basic square pull out type.But after using it a few times you will notice washing powder all underneath the tray.This is not because I am untidy or incapable of putting it in without spilling it.If you look at the back of the tray you will see that its bad by design as powder just spills out of the back of it and falls underneath the tray itself.There is absolutely nothing I can do about it except clean it out every few washes with a thin object to get under the tray and then wipe it all away.The ministry of bad design managed to creep in on the tray unfortunately.

I told them that the fabric softener draw didn`t work, they told me to
call Hotpoint direct, which I did, and they came out and told me it was
the `water pressure` then they decided it was `maybe a self tapit
conection` and still it`s not fixed, so I`ve now to wait for a `senior
engineer` and have another day off work because Hotpoint are `very very
very very reluctant to accept a product is not working properly` and that
was from their own engineer. STEER WELL CLEAR.
