No more messing about with spinlocks, no more stacks of weight discs strewn over the floor. Finish one set, turn a dial and get straight on to the next.
They have a very solid feel, a safety mechanism which locks the dumbells to the housing unless the dial has locked the plates and a nice feature that allows you to load a different weight on either end (especially good for some forearm exercises).
Just a couple of slight criticisms:
The dumbells arent round and tend to be bottom heavy this makes them twist in your hand, but hey you work your forearms fighting it.
21kg per dumbell is not enough weight for big fellas like myself.
......And after a heavy set without gloves you end up with bowflex imprinted all over your palm!

The loading system seems to be pretty smooth so far, nice an simple! They wont take bein dropped tho, so be sure to only lift what you can manage or better yet have a trainin partner spot you! If you are starting a fitness regime these will be perfect for limited space dwellings. There is another in the Bowflex range that go up to 90lbs but dont seem available in the UK at present. Very good purchase, lets hope the range increases.
