JACK DANIELSSilver Select 70cl BottleHad a bottle of silver select in the cupboard since 2005, saving it 4 a special occasion. All I can say is it was well worth the wait, and I will certainly be getting another bottle, at the end of the day you get what you pay for! 5 out of 5jaydee01/08/2009 08:55:28

UnbrandedSMOKEY JIMS 70cl BottleThis stuff was awesome, so annoying Tesco don`t sell it anymore and changed their `cheap whiskey` option to Old Samuel`s, which makes you ill after more than 2 drinks; nasty stuff. Sainsbury`s own brand bourbon is the best of the cheap stuff atm, still #11 though, but tastes pretty good. 5 out of 5H17/12/2008 09:08:27

JACK DANIELSSilver Select 70cl BottleSilver Select Single Barrel is the Best, a little expensive to drink every weekend though. They now have it in the World Duty free shops at most UK airports for #29.99 an absolute bargain. 5 out of 5Jacks lover!!07/11/2008 14:26:02

JACK DANIELSGentleman Jack 1 Litre BottleSeriously...If you like JD, try GJ. I think it`s worth the extra, unless you`re mixing with Coke, in which case ordinary JD No. 7 is gonna taste pretty much the same...but, on its own, there`s a real difference. Go for it. 5 out of 5Harley Dave16/06/2008 15:10:33

Scotland, IslayLagavulin 16 y.o.- 70clI have been drinking single malt whiskey from Islay for about six years. I finally plucked up the courage to spend nearly forty pounds on a bottle of Lagavulin last week, why oh why did I not realise earlier that you get what you pay for! Talisker, Ardbeg, Lafroaig, Bowmore, Caol ila; they are all wonderful, but when you join forces with a bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin you realise that you have come full circle and at last found home. I would recommend this spirit to anyone who has the capacity to appreciate the finer things in life, it is simply wonderful, without doubt the finest dram I have ever tasted, I just hope that others will benefit from reading this and enjoy the exquisite taste of 16 year old Lagavulin - and they say teenagers are a lot of trouble! If you love Islay Malts my friends, you will love Lagavulin. 5 out of 5Mellow Fellow09/04/2008 08:14:30

ScotlandThe Bailie Nicol Jarvie- 70clPossibly one of the `finest` special blends on the Market, BNJ should be the staple whisky in every connosieurs blend shelf. Soft, smooth and delightfully creamy, the licor demands to be held on the palate for the maximum length of time. Tones of vanilla, rich butter and just a hint of heather make this a treasure to behold. A similarly rich finish without too much lingering truly makes the drinker consider his glass and ask for more. A superb whisky for experienced drinkers and non-whisky drinkers - it could open up a whole new world for you. 5 out of 5Chris04/09/2007 17:47:22

BuffaloTRACE 70cl BottleThis stuff is simply amazing for the price. It is way better than many `premium` bourbons costing twice as much or more. If you like Bourbon, and you don`t absolutely love this stuff, you`re an idiot. 5 out of 5zGrooveMeister18/02/2006 09:37:06

UnbrandedPADDY - Old Irish Whiskey 70cl BottleFriend of mine brought a bottle for me from the old country , being a single barrel bourbon guy I found it to be light on the proof, but great nose lite an airie nice finish if they could only make it 100 proof it would be the nector of the Gods 4 out of 5j.d. pennington31/07/2008 08:09:06

Scotland, IslayBowmore Darkest- 70clA fine malt that is by far and away my favourite of those that I have tasted from Islay. Smoky on the nost but not medicinal like laphroaig for example and the taste is of smoke and treacle toffee. Its a bit dearer than others in that range but worth every penny. 4 out of 5Steve McQ.15/10/2007 11:14:51

UnbrandedSMOKEY JIMS 70cl BottleTesco Extra sell this stuff! They`ve just dropped the price to £9.99 for a 70cl bottle - I think that`s a permanent price drop as opposed to a promotion. Anyway, it`s perfectly drinkable with mixer, and a reasonable substitute for branded bourbon. 4 out of 5Nobby From C Wing25/04/2007 12:04:55

BuffaloTRACE 70cl BottleThe best whisky for the buck you can buy. Too bad it is only available in the USA and not available widely in every liqour store. The best kept secret in bourbon.
