Must be great, but I ordered a 38 instead of my usual 39 and it still seemed too big...

I write from Italy, some my family live in Germany the country of Birkenstock, please REMEMBER... due small request from MAN, Birkenstock make Black and Brown up to size 46.
I write to Birkenstock Germany and Italian distributor (who sell B. from 1958) and confirm me Black and Brown are for man (Unisex).
In Germany for man are available 4 version (Regular/Narrow/Leather or Birko-flor), in Italy im sorry we have only 1 version narrow birko-flor.
Please the same apply thong sandal `Gizeh` Black and Brown is for man up to 46.

Ordered a hard-to-find-anywhere-but-Amazon size and am really happy with these shoes.

I ordered the same size as everyday shoes - they seem to come up around half a size larger and a bit wider. I can just about get away with normal width, if I ratchet the buckle over to the narrowest hole. Next time, Ill probably go for the narrow fit. (I usually size B/C width)

That said, overall fit, support and comfort are fine....I have very high arches (well supported in these Madrids) and usually take forever to break in new shoes and get past the blister/abrasion stage.....these felt like walking on air, straight from the box.

Delivered within 48 hours of ordering too....not bad for Supersaver Delivery!

I bought a pair of these sandals last summer and cant wait for the weather to improve so that I can wear them again! I love Birkenstocks as theyre stylish and comfortable and come in large sizes so us big footed girls can look great. My only slight beef with those was that they rubbed a fair bit at the start (unlike my Birkie Florida pair) but after a while they settled down and were very comfortable indeed! I think Amazon sell Birkenstocks at very reasonable prices and am thinking of investing in another pair for Summer 2009!
