I have to admit that although im not wrestlings biggest fan today, I was during my yester years. I purchased this game used, off an amazon seller and waited anxciously for it to arrive. Once recieved, I marvelled at the cover and expected one hell of a joy ride. My first impressions upon playing the game were hmm not bad..not bad at all. I found the moves and control system easy to use but what really struck me about this video game was the fact that it was so realistic, bringing back memories of the classic late 80s early 90s arcade cult classic Wrestlefest. In terms of playability that game clinches it for me. This game however showcases some beautiful animation and superb close up graphics, really boasting the power of the xbox. Some of the downers for the game included the following. 1. I was a bit annoyed with the graphics and animation regarding the fans in the background, they almost look like pieces of cardboard with jagged edges throwing their little stencil cut out arms. It seems maybe they just didnt want to use up too much power of the xbox to make em look good and you can see the same fan chanting and raving all over the arena which kind of knocked down the realism aspect of the whole thing. Also, there are a number of other things I found disapointing with this game, the battleroyal tournament in career mode was fine, but personally I wanted to see more than 4 wrestlers in the ring at the same time. Preferably at least 8. What really bugs me is the fact that its almost impossible to pull of one particular move, probably THE move in battleroyal. Throwing opponent into ropes proved to be a real nightmare and no matter how many times I read the Tutorial, repeatedly over and over again I just couldnt manage to pull it off. aargh ! It could be Im misinterpretting the controls there or just that its too dificult to pull off. This alone, makes the game unworthy of 5 stars. However, suffice to say the game does still rank up there with the top 20 xbox games out at the moment. A MUST HAVE for all hardcore wrestling fans and youll really love the interviews for the various wrestlers in the game. Ring entrances of the wrestlers are superb, only let down by the tediously drawn fans in the arena. I feel they could have added more to this game, like royal rumble, king of the ring and the survivor series mode. Maybe thats what theyll do in LOW3. Fingers crossed - lets wait for that. Overall a fantastic game, great fun to play and very addictive. If you love wrestling - get out and buy this game !

The choice of classic wrestlers from Big Daddy to BretThe hitmanHart and the variety of fights in the exhibition option is tremendous, hours of fun. Then there is the Career option where you can choose a wrestler or create your own and take him or her around the states in a number of storylined fights, even the champ will enter the ring to check up on the up and coming wrestler. Superb!
